I am a right winger, a gun control opposistionist, and an anti abortionist, and, oddly enough, I am also an atheist. But among all else, I am an American! And what I see coming is far worse than any right or left wing conspiricy! It is basically this. I beleive that the left and right are jockeying for power, with the right winning. Whoever eventually wins, I think it is utterly plausible to beleive that they will go ahead 100% with their agenda, and damned be the masses. It'll either be a bunch of gun totin christian rednecks, or a bunch of abortionist, tax raisin, terrorist ignoring hippies. I think either one will kill the U.S.A. So, if that happens, I've got a stockpile ready, so is gun control really such a bad thing? :mp5: :mp5: :mp5: :mp5: :mp5: :mp5: :mp5: :mp5:

edit:before i get jumped on from the left saying that he didn't have wmds (note i never said the weapons were anything but conventional) and from the right for comparing his situation with, well, the NRA's, let me jsut say, lighten up, bitches.

No side is ever going to "win". You've been going some 200 years and it hasnt got (that) bad yet, so why now?

For me, gun control is not a bad thing, because I don't care. For society gun control is a bad thing, simply because it sets a terrible precedent.

I doubt the slippery slope will go that far, but we don't want to start limiting ownership in the name of personal safety.
