Geographically "best" place to have the Global capitol?
Say someone, a nation, or me decides to control the world one day. Now, what would be the best (funniest, awesomest, uber-1337, etc.) place to have the world's capitol?
(BTW, nowhere in Mexico plz, it's too smelly. j/k...no seriously...)

The center of the Earth.
The Giza Plateau. Not only do you have the Pyramid and Sphinx as a backdrop, you are also at the geographic center of the "old world". It is also the center of the oldest major civilization. Friggin hot, though.

The best place for the world capital would thus be Eridu.

I think Barro would be a good choice. Was thinking SUez city also, but Barro just seems more right. Centrally located, easily accesible by sea and cheap too. Plus, if, as ruler of the earth, you ban air conditioning in your capital, except for yourself, it will encourage your administrators to go elsewhere and mingle with the people instead of forming a tight clique.
