Must Democracy automatically mean Capitalism?
And do you think the title as a sound argument?

No, that doesn't make a great deal of sense.
And do you think the title as a sound argument?
The title is "Capitalist swine"...
That's not an argument at all...

Ted: Your step-mom's hot.
Bill: Shut up, Ted.
Ted: Remember when she was a senior and we were freshman?
Bill: Shut up, Ted.

Actually, Marxist communism is the most democratic system ever imagined. It's so democratic that it's a dictatorship of the majority.

I'm not rubbing it in, damnit! I think it's really shitty that British telecom companies screw their customers the way they do (massively-inflated prices, poor selection, bad service, and relatively few channels).

A friend of mine in London (we play Half-Life together every now and then) pays almost 100 pounds a month for his 512kbps DSL service, and that's not even counting an extra phone line and maintenance fees (plus a whole lot of other shit).

That's damn scary.... I pay $75 CAD for that every month.... that's like 3 times the price!

Yeah, British prices are hella insane. We don't need to worry about our poor, if we sent them to the US or Canada they'd be the richest of the rich, even if they only went with £10. xD

Hey don't worry. I was only joking :)

True. But I have to say it doesn't bother me too much, I don't watch too much TV. Except for movies :(

About $30.

I have a combo phone/dsl bill, and I don't check it, item by item.

I think I pay 29.00 a mounth for dsl, and it supposed to be 2mbps. (But rarely is).

Edit: That's just for the DSL service, not the phone line, calls etc.

Sorry my mistake. Forgot you said be month, whilst I meant for the year (thought something was screwy). Works out slightly cheaper, but you still have a better service

Wow! That's a great deal. I pay $94 a month for my cable and internet connection. I have a fairly large selection of channels, but none of the movie channels like HBO. That's ok since those are a waste of money. This is along with their best internet connection, 3mb. Ever since they brought a cable internet connection to our town up till December of last year I was paying $84 a month for the same selection of channels and a 384k connection. Up till then their 3mb connection was extremely expensive. I think you had to pay close to $200 a month for it and your tv channels. This was, of course, an blatent rip off and almost no one paid for it. I guess their theory was that they would make an absolute killing off the unwitting populace just because broadband was new in our area and we didn't have any alternative but to pay them. Then they realized no one has that kind of money. So in December they offered to let their customers upgrade to a 3mb connection if they paid an extra $10 a month. I thought this was not only a great deal but necessary for me. See, last June they upgraded a lot of long time customers connections to 3mb for free. That lasted till this past January. At that point I was hooked. It was like a drug, I wouldn't have been able to survive with downloading at a mere 50kb/s any more.
