Snow or Rain...

We all have to deal with weather whether we like it or not, so I want to know what everyones favorite type of weather is and why they like it.

I'll take rain. I don't have to shovel rain, and I haven't fishtailed into a highway divider because of rain.

Dummy. You could've chosen sun you know, despite the title of this thread:).

I didn't know there was a poll comming. I chose lighting in the poll. Lightning and thunder are entertaining.

Yeah, but sun and heat get you drunk faster...

there are other reasons to like weather besides how drunk you get during cirtain types.

Yeah, but did you ever get drunk, smoke some weed, drop a tab of blotter acid, and watch a lightning storm? It's kind of cool.

Well yes actually, but you can't sit and watch the lightning all the time...sometimes you just need to soak up the sun....

ether way lightning is the coolest no matter what :D

Coolest? Overall? Yes. But I'd take sun over lighting 9 times out of 10...regardless of its uncool factor.

I'm more of a night person. Sunlight isn't all that much fun for me. Reminds me that I'm doing something productive rather than sleeping in.

Hehehe...sounds like me up until I had kids and stopped knowing what sleep was. Now I relish sleep...and the only time I have to relax is when I go somewhere hot and sunny for a couple of weeks. The wild, crazy, no-kids-to-bug-us-sex is good too. Probably why I'm biased in favour of sun.

people who know me would think that I would be like that because I love being outside playing in the sun, but lightning is the way to go because it can be used to as a tool to get closer to your girlfriend. :D

The sun shining and the wind blowing, a warm wind though one that makes you run with it, or gently fight against it.

This brings up an intresting point, what are the best combinations of weather?

Sun, a fresh sea breeze, a hammock in the shade of the palm trees, a fresh ice cold green coconut and the sound of the waves against the white sands.
A masseuse would not hurt either.
Who would want rain, snow, lightning or hail when they could have this

this would be relaxing but what if you were a storm chaser and lived for the thrill of 150mph winds, turential downpours, deadly lightning, and hail the size of baseballs.

You would need your head examining. Go chasing after weather that can kill you? No. That is just stupid, unless it is your job to collect the data. If it is your job to collect the data, I would suggest you change your employment to something less stressful, such as senior hammock tester.

I live in New Jersey. We don't have mudslides because unlike Californians, we live in the nice part of the country.

I say SNOW! But if I lived in a place where I actually got it more than one day a year I might pick a different option.
Sun with a bit of clouds, 73-degrees and a nice breeze. That's the only way to go.
I chose "other".
I say rain. If I'm happy, then the weather doesn't matter, I'm still going to be happy. And its not like I don't like a warm sun or a cool breeze or playing in the snow; but...
If I'm pissed off, or somewhat depressed, I can step outside, and walk through the rain, reflecting, and listening to the patter of raindrops. Streetlights are somehow...different...when seen through a veil of rain...

I say clouds, because i don't like bright light too much, and it can still be warm and not too humid when it's cloudy... honestly i wish "night" was one of the options, but here's to making do.
Sun is only good if it is also warm out. Sun and cold is still no good.
I vote Lightning! Thunderstorms are awesome! :D

I say snow. And lots of it. As in school cancellation snow. As in 1 meter in a day of storming type snow. Mm-mm, White Juan!
Lighting comes a close second. I don't see lightning much, but when I do, it's great, and thunder. I absolutely love thunder. Unfortunately we don't get thunderstorm weather very often here...

Rain is good...it smells better than other kinds of weather and it keeps things alive (as long as the sun shines some too).
I voted clouds, meaning slightly overcast days. Not full-on darkness.

And you didn't get close to million tons of raw sewage in your water thanks to rain.
Between snow and rain, I choose snow.
In general, I prefer sun, mainly because of my damned SAD, and the fact that I lost my snowpants.

Snow of course, it's my job, without snow, no ski season. Without snow no good conditions on the glaciers for climbing in summer. Or without snow, a melting of glaciers like we see now and bad climbing conditions in Alaska, Himalaya and the Alps. (thank you GW Bush for not joining science!).
