As my title indicats, this is simply an attempt at something.
Most people I've noticed tend to like to discuss differing beliefs about God, religion, etc. However, most of the debates I've gone to get just a little out of hand sometimes. So, what I was thinking about is this, a friendly debate about different beliefs. We don't actually know as much as we think we know about something until we've talked to someone who actually knows it or has a good idea of it.
So, here's what I understand about a few religions (correct me if I make a mistake or add on)
There's Catholism, they believe that Jesus was the Son of God and that he did die. They also believe however that when you die, if your a Catholic, you go to Purgatory to wait for your sins to be removed(?) or would a better term be cleansed?
Atheism, quite honestly, evolution and the big bang theory are included in there as well since they are often times used in a way which suggests that there is no God. From what I understand about evolution, it's essentially just random changes that have occured in a genome which rather "miraculously" survived the "early Earth".
I don't know all that much about Islam, but from what I know they believe that Jesus (contrary to what Christians and Catholics believe) was simply a prophet, and that Muhammed (spelling?) was the greatest and last prophet.
Since I'm a Christian then I think I understand pretty well what I believe.
You may have noticed that I separated Catholics from Christians. In my own opinion, they are. They are very similar but yet different. I think they are separate though.
If you disagree then plz do so. However, I'd like to ask that nobody throw insults or use any vulgar language. Plz and thx. Just keep it informational and friendly.
