Wow look, I made a summary of everything I wanted to say in the title. I don't even need this first post but I'm taking it anyway.

i used to have all my quotes in 'quote' tags, but that made my sig about 3x longer than any of my posts, so i remaved the tags and made the font really small

I agree, which is why my signature is two words, and is also why I have signatures disabled for myself.

On my computer my sig shows up as two lines. Works for me.

I had the 'dont care, don't care' as my sig for ages, and it's still there only there is now random small print underneath. Some of it links, some of it is just random comments. It changes every so often if anyone has been following, although it hasn't changed in the last few weeks.

Not as bad as some other ones. I have signatures disabled, so I don't have to look at them. I think anyone who really has a problem with people's long signatures should just disable them for their own viewing.

Actually, we ask that they be limited to eight lines or less, including linefeeds. Those massive quotes are too long.

Pure Metal and HC Eredivisie, I would appreciate it if you would both shorten yours. There may be others I haven't looked at (I too have sigs turned off by default), so feel free to bring yours into compliance too.

But I like my sig! It's not that big. I thought we were allowed eight lines of normal-sixed text as a max.

You know, you could always turn off the "view signature" feature if it bothers you that much...

I've never been able to get any of those fancy-schmancy features to work for Dobbs Town. No fonts, no italics, no colours, sigs, or smilies.

But I agree. It's irritating to see a one or two word response with a paragraph contained in the sig.

Well I can look at it through your public profile, and while it is very nice, for each good looking signature, there are 50 crappy, obtrusive ones.

I'm much too lazy to be bothered by updating my sig.

My signature happens to be both wise and f'in hilarious. :p

Sigs come and sigs go. Mine has always varied. Now I'm not on enough for it to matter anymore.

I keep colors in my sig so that I can scan a page and find my own post easily.

I like sigs to be short and sweet. Its a impression of yourself to give to other posters, not a frigging resume.
