The answer to life, deity, and everything else. (In one post)

The Lordship of Sauron
04-04-2005, 16:36
Since it seems there are so many intelligent and searching individuals continually posting the same flame-baited posts over and over again (while tweaking minor wording so as to appear that they're actually saying something NEW), I've decided to author the answers to EVERYTHING.

To begin with, I'll paraphrase Madox, and say that everything I say in this post is right - if you disagree, you're wrong. That'll keep things nice and simple.

..I misspelled his name? Too darn bad. In this post, everything I say is right, so you must be mistaken.

Shall we begin?

...

[[[[[RELIGION]]]]]
Some people believe in god. Some people don't. Get over it! You cannot prove that god (any god) exists, anymore than you can prove he/she/it DOESN'T exist.
Stop challenging people to "prove to me his/her/its existance!" It won't happen, and the mere fact that you're challenging in that tone means that even if someone showed you a picture, you'd brush it off.
Likewise, stop posting with titles like "Here's proof that god exists!" Again, the very fact that you think (or say) you have proof only goes to show that you're either (a) stupid, or (b) purposefully obnoxious.
Having said that, just because someone "believes" in God (or "a god") does not make them inept at reasoning.
Since this manual states that they are not allowed to say they have proof to back up their beliefs, those who disagree are not allowed to cold-shoulder them in discussions. "Well, I believe [x]" may not be a valid basis for laying "facts", but "you believe in [x], therefore you aren't capable of logic" is just as stupid.

While we're on the subject, whoever started the whole "creationism (intelligent design) vs. evolution" needs to be tied up and beaten. It's an endless debate already!
Every time someone from the I.D. side makes a point, some die-hard evolutionist comes along and counterpoints it (sometimes with logic, often times with stupidity). After that, the I.D. fellow bounces back, and counter-counter-points it (sometimes with more logic, more often with stupidity in like form).
I hereby declare it illegal to make any posts with the topics reading anything resembling: "Why your god couldn't make the world", or "Jesus started it all"

Moving on: Homosexuality is also an issue. Get over that, too. For every person who arrives, loudspeaker blaring, championing "gay rights etcetera - repress the straight!", there's an equally obnoxious proponent of the other camp, who's drawing up blueprints for a concentration camp to send "all those queers" packing to.
In the same idea, there's an equal number of valid points to be made pro/con. I decree, at this moment, that everyone needs to shut up and let the public decide, via the polling booths. That way, the majority carries, and everyone is happy (or should be)
What's that? Hark! The sound of whining assails my ears! "But what if the majority is wrong!" Well, I guess that means you're trying to project the morality of a minority on that of the majority. Congrads - you've just managed to be at the same time closed-minded AND moralistic! But since we've established that ONLY your point of view will be lauded by you, lets cut to the chase and have you shut up. Since we know where you stand, and since we know nothing but your view of "right" will please you, you can save us all the trouble and just stop talking.

[[[[[POLITICS]]]]]
Fourth: Bush isn't that bad. Please quit lowering everyone's IQ by nailing him up at every turn. Once again - majority wins, and that goes from the presidential vote-count to laws that are getting passed.
And before anyone starts talking about "Stolen elections", I am issuing an order that anyone spewing that particularly overused drivel be shot on sight. If it was that close, than even if the other party would have won, he would have been in the same position. (ie: it was close, how can we be certain he didn't spin a few votes, the other guy should have won, blah blah blah). Unless you can say, honestly, that had Kerry (or Gore) won you'd be saying the same things you're saying now about close-elections and missed votes, then you are not allowed to speak.

Fifth: Bush isn't that great. Please quit lowering everyone's IQ by setting him up as Jesus come again in earthly form. The election was that close, and it could have just as easily swung the other way. Anyone who closes their eyes and stands behind everything Bush says and does is a fool and is put in the shooting pen with the others.

Sixth: Kerry was not going to solve the economy/eleminate the deficit/fix world conflict/create a cure for cancer. He lies just as much as Bush does, and he doesn't have any more of a clue. New ruling just in! Those who stand behind Kerry 100%, with their eyes closed, please get in the line forming left of the bloodstain.

Iraq was a screw up. Wether you believe it was intentional or not, you're going to be as hard-pressed as the "God camp" is to prove your side. (Or the anti-god camp, for that matter) Since we've had, you know, two years to discuss this, I declare silence on this matter. Forever.
Those of you who disobey, you know where to go - please don't make us hurt you.

[[[[[CURRENT EVENTS]]]]]
Terry Schaivo's ruling was a screw up. Wether you believe she was coherant/vegetable/alive/Bach-in-a-second-life doesn't matter - most people will say, regarding the death penalty - "oh, but what if they were innocent!" That's right, err on the side of life. Good idea - oh wait, she's already dead for sure.
Having said that, it's over and done - Michael was an ass, and probably will be until the day he dies - but the law went to his side, so get over it.

The tsunami(s) are a sign of the End Times. Repent!

Wait. Just kidding.

....

If you have anything to ADD to this, feel free. Don't contradict anything I've said, though - It's illegal.

And for god's sake, PLEASE stop creating the assinine posts! How they manage to gather 500+ replies to something like "Jesus isn't real - the aliens told me so" is beyond my comprehension.

I don't mind DEBATES.

What I dislike is stupidity. If you are stupid, you fall into one of the edicts I constructed. If you want to start an intelligent post (a title like: "Reasons why I feel God exists" would be acceptable), go right ahead.

Unfortunately, since everything I said in that post was correct, THHGttG must be wrong. Sorry.

Okay, but if we all act reasonably, that are we going to talk about? Because, I don't really care for the fluffle threads, you know.

Darn it. I forgot to add the "fluffle threads" to the crimes list.

We can discuss things reasonably. Nothing wrong with that. However, there are a billion and one threads that go:

[1] "X" is wrong! I'm right!
[2] No, you're wrong, because of [unreasonable projection of values/preferences]
[3] Actually, (2) is right because I said so.
[4] Nu uh!
[5] Yes huh!
[6] I'm telling mommy!!!

This annoys me.

So let me get this entirely straight. We can't have any form of inteligent debate on any remotely controvesial subject any more? I'll admit there are quite a few morons on here who'll automatically jump straight into their standard 'God's certain/ridiculous', or 'Bush is always right/wrong' [delete as appropriate], but we aren't all semi-evolved halfwits frightened of questioning what we're told from various authorities and/or their opposition. So if you don't like the various debates, just don't join in and stop moaning about them.
