Just to let you know why san diego is a requirement:
who the hell names a city san diego? that's retarded. they should've named it san fransico so that there'd be two SF and people would kill each other to claim the name and then there wouldn't be an 1849 gold rush because everyone would be too busy killing each other. then I'd get all the gold because everyone would be fucking dead.

Bhudda was actually skinny himself due to the many walks and treks he was on. Gigantic people are considered wise by Asian Acnients, so that is why the Stereotypical Bhudda is fat.
It would have to be someone who is hatefilled more than evil...
and the fat buddha statues are supposed to be someone else. The buddha lived the life of an astetic for a while before he attained enlightenment, he would have been rather emanciated.
