While I accept the evidence that Schiavo, such as there was, no longer existed long before her feeding tube was removed, I think of that as a reason that she should actually have been kept alive.

If she had been in some way conscious her death would have been necessary. No human should be forced to endure in a state where they cannot act and must instead watch their decrepit body slowly atrophy away. No mind could withstand such torment.

With her brain being a mass of scar tissue, on the other hand, the situation is different. In this case she becomes more a sort of animal, a pet if you will. This pet, as I understand it, was offered a home by Terry's parents. They offered to support and feed this creature out of remembrance for what it was. Since her husband apparently has no more use for her unless he was planning to do something to her body he should have just given this creature to its parents as he no longer had any use for it while they did.

With all due respect, I wish we would all can it about Terry Schiavo. While tragic, in the grand scope of things, her death is far, far less important than about 9,000,000,000 other things happening in the world at the moment. Let's talk about those things rather than using her dead body to cudgel our political opponents with.

I heard the tape of her trying to speak, she was consisous and alive guys, she died a painfull death over the period of 14 days. My fucking governer is an asshole who dose nothing but sit on his ass all day, aand thanks to that, a woman died. He said "the courts said no to get into it", what the fuck dose he care, he was trying to be politicaly correct and stop a "consitiutional crisis" IT ALREADY WAS A CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS!!!! :sniper:. I no longer support the government, as it has proven it cant uphold its people. I am now fully for the constitution, may the south rise again :mp5:!!!!

Did you get to see 24 hours of tape in which she made the same sounds when there was no one talking to her or even paying attention to her? No, I don't think so. If I only recorded my dog making sounds that make it seem like there are words, would you believe that my dog could speak?

They're too busy watching the pope-death hoopla. My guess is that the autopsy didn't show anything we didn't expect, so they didn't think it would be sensational enough to interupt showing endless parades of people crying over the pope.

The results won't be made public for a few weeks yet. It does take a bit of time to fully analyse the results.

Where exactly did you hear she "hadn't made a sound in 15 years"? She was *constantly* making sounds reflexively.

Meanwhile, I am not a Canadian, and I *do* care about her, in as much as I think everyone's wishes should be carried out without the government having a say in it.
