Priceless.

Have you not heard? I had two bottles of Zima when I was 5, though technically that's not really alcahol. Hard liquor, anyway.

But really, what's wrong with Iron City? I know you've never had a bottle, but if you did, you'd love it. It's not a beer for the weak.

I had a taste of it quite a long time ago. It's real beer, man.

Is it american beer?

Because that by virtue of the fact is american beer, is not beer, its gnats urine.

I was LOL'ing at the late drinking age in the US. :p Never tasted Iron City. I drink San Miguel, Crown or Corona if I have a choice. I like my beer dryyyyyyy.

Iron City is like the Earl Grey of beers. Once you drink it, you see that Miller, Coors, and all those other shit beers really do taste like horse piss.

Iron City's not a Craft Beer, by any means. It's a "Man's Beer". Of course, what else would you expect? It comes from the Steel City, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Why should you be able to drink at all?

a) You are underage

b) you are on the public dole.

drinking is a luxury, not a right.

Except if they are affording that alcohol with public money. As in the govt gives them money and they choose to spend it on alcohol.

I think it is reasonable that you have to give up some rights when you live on the public tit.

You are living off of MY money/sweat. Why shouldnt I have an opinion about that ?

Do you not understand that the money you live on(and complain about) comes from the effort of others?

You are basically stealing from me(legally) and you wonder why I have issues with your lifestyle when it comes to drinking?

My only compensation is that ppeople of your ilk will never be in competition with either mine or my my childrens lives. You are beaten, brokem and disillusioned since almost birth.

Where Americans are taught that everyone can be a winner, you believe that everyone can only get what social services gives. I almost feel sorry for you, except my disgust overides it.

Vietnam boat people came to this country, didnt speak a lick of english and in 1 generation they owned their own businesses. My parents came here with nothing(dad grew up DIRT poor in India, poor in india in no way compares to "poor" in the USA. I was picked on growing up cause I was the only non white kid in school(When I was 4 or 5 a bunch of kids beat me so bad and held me down(one guy on my chest) that I had to be taken to the hospital to be resucited..no charges filed)(we were staying in hospital apartments, parents being doctors and all). The Chinese and the Irish were abused non stop. But they all(me included) made a life for ourselves.

And now the pathetic welfare recipients sound like you.. O, my life is so difficult, the govt doesnt give me enough to stay fat. Im 17, dont expect me to work. Do you have any idea how pathetic you are?

The thing that always puzzles me about americans, is that they always realise how hard it is to go up in society, but they never think how easy it is to drop back down.

Over there, all it takes is for a member of your family to get really sick relatively quickly, and you get hammered on medical bills, before you know it you've got no money etc etc...

Anger management? Kids? Why arent you working now? You have time to be on the internet , why dont you use the time productively? Sell t shirts. Offer back rubs? Wash cars? Do whatever it takes to have respect for yourself.

Its Sunday, the day after my birthday. Do You know where I am? I am in my office. Doing work.

And people like you and Preeambles are talking about anger management and sense of community? Where is your contribution to the community? Sitting at home and using food stamps to buy pork rinds doesnt exactly qualify. what exactly have you done to make the community around you better? You are a parasite, and an ungrateful one at that.

a) I was writing a response so I have no idea about what you mean about logging off

b) I have worked on wall street for the past 12 years. Do you honestly think that a 17 year old welfare queen could possibly make an argument that I would be scared of? Even if I had worked in wall mart for the past 12 years, what insight could some monkey who buys penny stocks of diamond mining companies offer? You have done nothing with your life, and from what it sounds you will do nothing; except complain about how the govt doesnt give you enough.

Do yo know what I did when times were tough? I lived off savings and moved back to my parents house because I refused to collect unemployment. I would have done it if I had to, but I had other options so I used them first. I know people that had cash jobs during the time and still colleced unemployment(guess they are smart, I think they are assholes).

Do you have any idea what it is to have self respect? Does the concept even occur in your mind? Even if you worked part time that would be worthy of respect. But you wont do that will you. Another leechon society. Well fine. While I am living a good life you can sit at home and bitch about how the govt isnt providing enough. Anything to keep the masses content I suppose.

2: I can't work. That's the simple truth. If I did, I'd lose food stamp benefits, and the only jobs I can get are ones that would only allow a third as much food as I can currently get with said food stamps. Plus, I have to help take care of my dad, though less than I did a few years ago. And did it ever occur to you that my dad was the one who bought the stock?

3: I really don't get this. Not one bit. You seem to be the self-absorbed type, so I'll just leave you alone for now.

Most people on welfare need help legit. You seem to believe all that bullshit bandied about on current affairs shows about "dole bludgers" and welfare cheats. Read what Potaria said, I understand the position he's in, since part time jobs that pay enough to support you ARE hard to come by. I also have no problem with my tax dollars helping those that need it

The problem lies in the definition of those who need it.

Potaria feel she needs it. I do not. Her father receives disability, and it isnt enough to support him and her and her brother. on the other hand, she is 17 and her brother is 20. she weighs 150+ and her brother weighs 200+ and her father also.(Maybe I got it wrong with their weights). My pint being that no one is suffering. There are 2 healthy young people crying about how bad the system is. They dont want to work, the 3 of them eat 2-3 time what me(my brother and mom and pop) eat. and yet they are crying poverty

My father is in the top 1/2 of 1% tax bracket. Between him, my mom, my bro and me we dont have the combined weight of the 3 people in potaria's family. Im short, but my bro and my dad are over 6 feet. What right does she to complain that she doesnt get enough food? My dad is a surgeon and my mom is peadtrician(sp), are you gonna tell me that they are starving their family? The four of ours combined weight is much less than theirs. Maybe they are just fat overeating people.

maybe it just is that potaria is a lazy worthless person. I know thats not PC, but maybe its the truth. All she does is complain about how the world/govt ripped her off. She has nevr pointed out what she has contributed other than being born. If she had this attitude in a country like india she would have been smacked upside her ass so often she would have kept her mouth shut.

ramen is a product of the mysterious orient. crafted by the magical and wonderous peoples of ASIA, it is noodles, dried and packed tightly together, and a powdered soup base. you add it to boiling water until the noodles cook, then lower the temp and add the base. you can also add extraneous foodstuffs in there, like eggs or meat. it's taste-o-riffic.

I think you'll find that in countries where beer is drunk asa matter of course, the beer will be much weaker than in other countries.
Australian beer isn't all that wonderful, infact I would call it lager as most of it is chemically brewed, (as it is in most Europian countries).

Having said that though, I am not adverse to drinking them on occasion and I much prefer drinking 'local' brews with 'local' foods as they are made to compliment each other.

and things don't change much. :)

Explains why Australian love their alcohol.

yeah, but that ain't the only reason, have you seen half of our women?
but anyway, beer and ramen? sounds ok, but i'd rather just have a couple of pints of guiness, no need to eat anything in order to have some of that stuff.
admittedly, i haven't actually tried ramen, just guiness rocks

how's that for a first post ever?

I have to admit that I am not a lover of Guinness and it's ilk, though my partner loves it, (I just steal the froth off the top) ;)

dear god no, but hey, any excuse for another beer with the mates, beer runs through aussi blood, just like vodka runs through soviet, or rather, ex-soviet blood.
hmm, interesting combo, beer and vodka in my blood, oh well, what ever gets me drunk and hopefully happy to go with it.

speaking of drinking ages, who needs those? i've got booze in my blood, i've been drinking since i was eight days old (the day of my bris) and since then, i've always had some of the stuff whenever i felt like it. that's what i love about judaism, drinking is actually encouraged on some days

Drinking laws are there for the stupid, who have to be covered.
I started drinking at the age of 15 and was never challenged (until I was out drinking on my 21st birthday strangely enough.)

I always make a point of including my daughter when we are drinking, she has a taste or a wateres down version.
My partner and myself are sensible drinkers and we want her to see that there is nothing wrong with alcahol, just the way it is used.

an interesting point, if i was in that situation on tuesday i'd be screwed, ever try putting a +/- 12v power supply together while drunk? i haven't, but i doubt i'd be able to do it, i'd probably end up with exploding capacitors, diodes and voltage regulators, which would only be fun for the first hour of the three i get to do it
