PRC - People Republic of China, also PROC - the commie chinesssssssssse as opposed to the Nationaist RC or ROC

DEFCON - Defense Condition, as in DEFCON ONE is allout war

PLAAF - PROC air force, People's Liberation Army Air FOrce

CAKE - Key Adressed Capsule Encryption or Key Adressed Crypto Encapsulation - yes is scrambled acronym, q protocol most often used for anonymous re-mailing of e-mail.

SC - South Carolina, also Security Council (ROK or South Korea)

DPRK - North Korea, Democratic People's Republic of Korea

ABM - Anti-Ballistic Missle, includes ABMM (anti-Balistic Missle Missles) and other technologies such as brilliant pebbles also called Star Wars.

AAC - cannot recall, Anglo American something?

OSS -Organization of Strategic Services / Office of Strategic Services / Office of Special Services - WWII era US intelligence organization which becane the CIA. Officially the 2nd term is correct but others were used.

BRD - FDR now, West Germany, Bundsrepublik Deuschland (pardon my poor german)

ROK - Republic of Korea, also RK - south Korea as opposed to PROK

VC - Viet Cong, supposed to be based upon Vietnamese Communists, refers primarily to the guerillas of the NLF (National Liberation Front) to distingush them from the NVA (North Vietnamese Army) regulars.
