I liked the Japanese trilogy even before they made the first one in English. Oddly, I found the Japanese spookier (perhaps because I watched it first).

Even I get a little creeped out with The Ring and that tape and whatall and I am not easily creeped. Incidently, a friend of mine had a daughter recently and named her Samara.

Yeah she's been opening supermarkets and appearing on quiz shows, not to mention the work involved in launching her very own singing carreer (think Avril Lavgene but with something to actually moan about) :p

The Ring is absolutely awesome

pretty much the only film ive ever been creeped out by. i avoid the Japanese version like the plague

I'd love to watch it. The Japanese are so freaky, it might just be scary.

I watched it, even trying to be scared but I got bored half way through.
