Invasion of the Body Snatchers is a better analogy to those fearful Democrats who think that America has gone Republican overnight. Rather than seeing America as Jesusland, perhaps your neighbors were suddenly "replaced" by identical replicas while you slept.

I love that movie, they should make a version where Brian Blessed and a bunch of East End Gansters circa 1970 appear and just start shooting eveything, becuase well it would be cool.

Dr Miles Bennel returns to his small town practice to find several of his patients suffering the paranoid delusion that their friends or relatives are impostors. He is initially skeptical, especially when the alleged dopplegangers are able to answer detailed questions about their victim's life, but he is eventually persuaded that something odd has happened, and determines to find out what. This film can be seen as a paranoid 21st warning against those Damn Conservatives, or conversely as a metaphor for the tyranny of Neocons (or the totalitarian system of Your Choice).
