Wheeee. Someone who's actually british playing Bond again. Maybe the movies will stop their shitty decline that started with TND.

Following it's earlier (brief) claim that Clive Owen was confirmed as the sixth James Bond 007, movie rumour site IESB has released the evidence behind the headline.

One of the site reporters was at the Sin City premiere last night and spoke to Clive Owen. IESB reports, "After a few questions about Sin City and about other upcoming work we asked him about the rumors regarding James Bond. `Yes or no to Bond`. He said this while nodding his head 'yes', "I will be busy for a while" and then a colleague asked again, "any truth to the James Bond rumors?" "I'll be busy for a while," he repeated with a grin and smile.

I've always wanted to see Robbie Coltrain play the part...

He played a villian in two movies instead.

Was Sean Connery a very good-looking person? No.

He was rugged, like Clive. Just not as brutish.

No offense to Clive, but really?

Hes not exactly the image of the sauve gentleman one has come to expect of Bond. Cheesy as the movies are, I don't think theres a worry of losing credibility (don't get me wrong - I love them for what they are) but there are several hundred actors who would do the job so much more suitably than Owen.

Oh well, maybe it was time for a 'tougher' looking Bond anyway. Hm. :p

Hidious isn't exactly the word I'd use. Just the same, he doesn't strike me as a James Bond. I've got to hand it to Pierce Brosnan, he LOOKS like James Bond should more then any other Bond there's been.

Too bad no one will ever play the part as well as Timothy Dalton.

Brosnan was fantastic in the last couple movies, I think.

Thank god it wasnt one of those ponces like jude law.

I think Brosn. should have continued, but they could have done a lot worse than clive owen.

We shall see.

I've gotta say this --- The perfect Bond would look like Pierce Brosnan, sound like Roger Moore, have the personality of Timothy Dalton, and have the suave, calculating demeanor of Sean Connery (in their respective Bond roles, that is).

Yeah, I thought he was supposed to do 6. Although I also seem to remember reading that the last Bond movie was his last one. Conflicting reports. We'll see next year I guess.
