Parables

Let's be enigmatic, shall we?

We had a chandalier, at my old house. It was so pretty...*holds up a teardrop-shaped faceted clear thing* A lot of these crystals (really glass), some smaller ones.. We coveted its prettiness. We wanted it. We would hit it, at first on accident, later on purpose, catch and keep the fallen crystals, play with them like they were mystical magical things, or jewlery, keep them with our most prized posessions, treasure them. ...We moved from that house. I don't like our new chandalier so much. too different. But now I have a little piece of that old one. A little crystal.

anyone want to find a deeper meaning in that story? I had one in mind, I want to see if its as clear to you as it is to me.

If you use violence to destroy something, keep a bit of it to remind you of the fun that destroying it was?

I don't think that this is what you had in mind but it is what your parable describes.

LOL no, no, see, to us, it was just as beautiful with one or two less crystals... it was if one SHATTERED that was a huge tragedy

Our parents saw it different, needless to say, but meh. We were young.

We, by the way, is me and my kid brother and our neighberhood friend

A beautiful relationship that slowly disintigrated, but whose memories and fragments are still more important and alive than its present replacement.

Serial killers often take trinkets from their victims. You will end up a serial killer ( If you aren't one already.)

I don't like your usage of the word 'parable' because what a parable really means is it's a natural (earthly) story that relates to a spiritual topic. You use way too much ambigious language and indefinate descriptions with little or no context or precedent. If you're trying to make a point about bibilical teachings of parables you're doing an apalling job because each parable had a distinct message based upon scripture and tradition. Each had context and was well descriptive.

I think it was meant as an exercise in creativity, or intuition. No need for such harsh critique.

Yeah, but I couldn't think of what to actually call it. It's an antecdote that symbolizes a deeper...

oh, that's right. Metaphor. That's what I meant to say. Parable was all that came to mind. I certainly didn't mean to offend anyone or poke fun at any religious beliefs (trust me, if I did, you'd know.)

Besides, I could have sworn I'd heard different parables described in different ways.... wait, maybe that was confucian stories. I'm tired, cut me some slack.

P.S: Alien, I'm a she

Alright, it's obvious nobody else saw what I did (thugh I like this one the best)

I saw it as happiness

my yout hwas a time of happiness, as indicated by the many-crysteled chandalier (forgive my spelling tonight)

Now all I have is a tiny piece to remember it by
