Old man and bacon.
My last thread today (go ahead and make a witty comment and my expense it is free and easy).
So you are sitting on a park bench and a stooped old man comes walking over to you carrying a side of bacon. He drops the bacon on the bench next to you and sits down. After wiping his brow he turns to you and says, "Here's some bacon for you young feller, take it and eat it in remembrance of me." Then he gets up and walks off.
How would you cook the bacon?

Like Great Beer and Food I'd do it carefully!
Would anyone baste the bacon with something? Or wrap the side of bacon in bacon before baking it?
Over a hot fire, in a heavy cast iron skillet and savor every piece while thinking thankfully of the elder.
I love bacon!

yeah..I'd wrap a filet mignon in the bacon. Or the bacon around the filet rather.
