I read that story when I was doing a search for World War II photographs to add to my screensaver. It truly touched me. I always thank veterans of every war that was a real war (Vietnam, Korea, World War II) a lot of them gave up their youth, a sense, freedom, and many other things that we civillians cannot begin to comprehend. If you see them, thank them. I always do, because it is the right thing to do.

It shouldn't be limited to WWII Vets or even to wartime Vets.

You're welcome, by the way. Anytime.

Thank you to all USian vets. I couldn't have anymore respect for your actions and sacrifices than I already have. The vast majority of you have done our nation proud time and time again.

Our vets have my deepest respect and well wishes. No amount of thanks can cover those that have put themselves 'in harms way' for us.

I am an American Citizen by birth but I do not say I am an American because I am Icelandic-German by blood. I will not thank you for killing my people in WW I and II allthough I do understand the fight in nr. II but for all the other wars I thank you. Don't really know why because most of your wars are in Asia and not here at home but thanks anyway. Very heroic!

P.S. Don't attack me for speaking my mind, Please.
