Bushs popularity hits all time low!

In a recent poll taken Bushs popularity has slipped all the way down to 45% an all new presidential low! I dont have an internet source but the source was the St. Petersburg times (in Florida) This is spectacular! But why couldnt this have happened during Nov.?
In an unrelated subject has anyone hear ever taken an overnight train than after they got off still felt like they were on the train?
And now we have a guy on this forum saying Bush may have illegally paid people and he will be impeached! Hooray!
I read that his rating was 45% as well, but I forgot where... May have been Reuters. And I hope that his rating slips even more.
And yeah, on that unrelated subject... It's happened to me before, with underground trams and rollercoasters. I love that feeling, man.

I think it'd be pretty sweet if he took a nosedive down to about 1%. It won't happen though.

Which will only go towards increasing the impact.
Wow, only 450 people out of 1001 still like him? That is trully Earth shattering for him. >.>

Ironically enough, I think this is partly because we've been getting good news out of Iraq recently (granted, this good news needs to be taken with a few grains of salt: the election wasn't to elect a legislature but only to elect the members of the Constitutional convention, and moreover a hell of a lot of those elected were Shiite fundamentalists). People have the impression that the war on terror is going well. . .which causes us to focus on Bush blatantly pandering to his constituencies with Terry Schiavo (the fundies) and Social Security privatization.

Jesus, I guess ruining the economy, criplling national security, lying to the nation, invading a foreign power with little justification, twice, attempting to push civil rights back 50 years, sanctioning torture, grandstanding on the Shiavo case and fucking off the Kyoto accords really swung round and bit him in the ass.

Because we all know polls of 700 to 1000 people perfectly dictate the stance of the entire country.
Look, I have at my immediate disposal the voter record of my area. I know how everyone is registered to vote (but only if they are registered.) This information is public, any dumbass who wants to take the time can make a poll show whatever he damn well pleases.

(actually, i understand that she's been a vegetable for a long time and isn't really "alive"... but if they really want to kill her, they could at least show some mercy and drop some sodium cyanide into her drip or something as opposed to letting her STARVE.. Hey, if people find out Bush did do that, and congress doesnt impeach him riots will start, seriously, congress is not that corrupt. If all Democrats vote to impeach and no Republicans do the least there will be are protests, those will turn violent, and other countries will be pissed too.

Anyway, giving people "control" over their Social Security is a very bad thing, because they could be screwed by stock plummets (among other things). Bush is trying to do what Reagan started: "Dismantling the Beast". I hated that bastard, Reagan. A sellout and a dick.

Yes! Reagan and Bush are quite possibly the worst presidents ever. They are the kind of guys who think everything will be ok as long as people have money in their pockets and the national defense is strong, but Reagan is a dream next to Bush at least he had half a mind. Bushs domestic policy is "want some gritz" and his foreign policy is "YEE-HAW!"
While Ronalds was domestic "......" and foreign policy "......" If some of you dont understand that its because he was re-elected even after a 20 second pause during a debate.

The reason for his slip is that he has angered the base. With full control of the Congress and the executive office, nothing has been done in regards to gay marriage, the flat tax, and especially the border. Social Security, too, has been left to practically twist in the wind. The fact is, Bush has increasingly moved to the left, although the Dems won't admit it.

Doctor assisted suicide is illegal.
Also, you starving in this situation is different then a "normal" person. The body simply shuts down. Many cancer deaths happen this way. The person simply stops eating and are gone in about a week or so. My wifes aunt had bad cancer, she went that way.
As to the money comment? Sure let's let the "honest" businessmen handle your retirement.

as opposed to being completely dependent on the government for the nest egg?
typical liberal, always assuming that people are retarded and can't handle their own finances. we really should let the government control our finances.
wow, sound financial planning.

As to the Polls. I am not surprised as the President is getting hit from both sides.
He gets knocked by the people who think the goverment should stay out and then he gets knocked by the pro-lifers who said he didn't do enough.

i'm pro-life: against abortion (mildly anyway), against death penalty, and against them killing Schiavo WITHOUT HER EXPRESSED CONSENT IN A LIVING WILL.
as for giving a damn about poor people, i care for helping those who are mentally and/or physically helpless.. those with no means to support themselves. other than that... here's a couple months' worth of help and after that, help yourself. there is a large group of people who depend on others by way of the government... who are more than able to help themselves. it is these lazy people for whom i would be in favor of decreasing welfare benefits. if you are poor and are working to make ends meet or are at least making an effort to find work, then I salute you.

Don't hold your breath, guys. Bush's popularity was about that just before the presidential election, and you all know how THAT turned out. :headbang: The dip is probably due to the fact that he is catching flak for not sending in the Marines to free Terri Schiavo from that nursing home in St. Petersburg. I wonder how the Democrats can justify to themselves sending that little Cuban boy back home to Cuba who had his mother die during the crossing when 'ol Dollar Bill was in office, saying the father's (a blood relative) right to have his son back home in Cuba was paramount while saying Terri Schaivo's parents (also blood relatives) have no rights to their daughter, who is in peril of losing her life, for God's sake. And don't give me that "she wanted it that way" argument. Michael Schaivo has absolutely no proof but his own word that she had ever stated that she wanted to die if she had this happen to her. But hypocrisy like this is why the Democrats lost last year. You may hate the republicans for what they stand for, but at least they are consistent.
Now awaiting the inevitable backlash...... :D

First off, I wouldn't be so sure...
Secondly, what does intelligence have to do with any discussion? Other than it should give you the good sense to not bring it up as some type of "proof" in any discussion!?!?
By the way... Having been tested many times myself, I can say that I have scored higher than you have several times and just lower a couple of times, over the years. The most recent being 152, the highest I have ever scored...
But again, it helps me in no way to suggest that it means anything regarding the discussion we are having not related to intelligence.

Right now, I dont think there is anyone who can truly prove this woman doesnt feel pain. Or wether she is self aware. I just saw a show last week that had accounts of people under anesthesia who couldnt move or speak, but could hear and feel the entire surgical procedure. They proved they were aware-tehy were able to detail conversations that took place during the ordeal. The surgeons and anesthesiologists said that right now, there is no way to be absolutely certain someone is not feeling pain. Its very possible Terri Shiavo is suffering and is aware why.
