Would you consider getting a brain transplant if one were available?

It depends on whose brain I'd get.

And I thought this thread was going to be about Creationism. ;)
But it would be somewhat interesting, to say the least.

No because its impossible. If you remove your brain, you die. No question. There is nothing that can keep the body going if the brain is removed.

I remember seeing something where they did it with monkeys. They didn't live very long and were paralysed, and in pain. Made me feel very sick seeing it.

so its not really a brain transplant, but a body transplant?

If you take your own brain and switch it with another. Then The other brain gets your body and you get his. I'd be rather worried about what the other person had done to his/her body to warrant wanting to switch...

Oh, in that case, maybe. But not on a permanent basis. Say, for a month. That would be interesting... To be in someone else's body for a month. I think I'd choose to be in a woman if I could, just to see what it's like. ;)
