Yep, this thread is dedicated to NS's most loveable old fart (just kidding!) Eutrusca. Let us know, in your own words, what you like about this remarkable ol' timer. ;)

Eutrusca's great. If had an e-dad or e-grandpa, he'd be my first choice.

I haven't spoken much with Eutrusca at all, if I remember correctly, but anyway, I bow in appreciation to one of the most respected NS'ers.

Thank you. Being involuntarily retired from the military after a bad parachuting accident, and especially now with a broken leg, I have far too much time on my hands for my own good. So, I post on NS and drive everyone to distraction! :D

I didn't know you could be in more than one region... I see yours as listed as England. I guess I have a lot to learn about all of this. I only recently started spending some time here, and still not that much.

Grandpa tell me bout the good old days
Sometimes it feels like the world's gone crazy
When the line between right and wrong
Didn't seem so hazy

EDIT: I think I may go listen to it now. I'll finish singing later.[/QUOTE]

Did lovers really fall in love to stay?
And stand beside each other, come what may?
Was a promise really something people kept
Not just they would say then forget?
Did families really bow their heads to pray?
Did daddies never really go away?
Oh grandpa, tell me bout the good old days

Yes, at least moreso than now. Many of us have forgotten that we belong to each other, not just to ourselves. ( HUG )

It sounds funny, I know,
But it really is so,
Oh, I'm my own grandpa.

I'm my own grandpa.
I'm my own grandpa.
It sounds funny, I know,
But it really is so,
Oh, I'm my own grandpa.

Now many, many years ago, when I was twenty-three,
I was married to a widow who was pretty as could be.
This widow had a grown-up daughter who had hair of red.
My father fell in love with her, and soon they, too, were wed.

This made my dad my son-in-law and changed my very life,
My daughter was my mother, cause she was my father's wife.
To complicate the matter, even though it brought me joy,
I soon became the father of a bouncing baby boy.

My little baby then became a brother-in-law to Dad,
And so became my uncle, though it made me very sad.
For if he was my uncle, then that also made him brother
Of the widow's grown-up daughter, who, of course, was my stepmother.

Father's wife then had a son who kept him on the run,
And he became my grandchild, for he was my daughter's son.
My wife is now my mother's mother, and it makes me blue,
Because, although she is my wife, she's my grandmother, too.

Now if my wife is my grandmother, then I'm her grandchild,
And everytime I think of it, it nearly drives me wild,
For now I have become the strangest case you ever saw
As husband of my grandmother, I am my own grandpa!

I'm my own grandpa.
I'm my own grandpa.
It sounds funny, I know, but it really is so,
Oh, I'm my own grandpa.
