I need a calculator program that:
a) runs from the hard drive
b) does not use the internet
c) Works on Windows PCs
d) MOST IMPORTANTLY: Does conversions for all sorts of units of measurements
Any ideas?

Doesn't the calculator that comes with windows do all that? Try zdnet.com and tucows.com if it doesn't do all you want.

Windows doesn't do conversions.
If I could get a name of a robust program that does conversions it would make my life a bit easier.

UCALC looks pretty much like what you're looking for. You can go to www.ucalc.com to download it. I can't personally say if it's any good or not. I just use the TI 83 with the science tools.

Or if you have a genuine copy of Windows, you can go to the Windows site (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=32b0d059-b53a-4dc9-8265-da47f157c091&displaylang=en) and get their copy of Windows calculator plus that does all kinds of different conversions.

Programs like MINITAB and Maple are great math programs. They will do all sorts of things, including conversions, and have tutorials for everything up to calculus. Not sure where you can get a copy though.
Windows powertoys. Search for them on Microsoft.com

I have an amazingly small & awesome tool that will convert anything metric to anything imperial and vice versa in all fields: area, distance, temperature, computer, power, energy, etc. It's AMAZING.

I'm very afraid to ask what it is since it was too 'special' to post in this thread...
EDIT
It also worries me that that post was from someone whose name is 'betrayal' spelled backwards.
On top of that the way it was presented was far too oversold.

Don't be lazy. Cengel and Boles, 2nd edition has every conversion you will ever need in the tables at the back (to around six figures I think). So just buy a used copy and use the windows calc.

I would check if the GNU site has anything. http://directory.fsf.org/
It's free, but most of the stuff is for Linux. There are a lot of Windows compatable things though.

All I needed was the program name. 'Convert'. Got it. Thanks.
Can't do all levels of metric conversion though. Sad. I need that the most.

What do you mean? What does it lack?
It does add a custom thing where you can enter your own conversions.
