The Zooke Appreciation Thread!

This fine lady is going through some serious depression just now. Many years ago, she had to make a decision to let her daughter go, much like in the current Terri Schiavo case. The publicity of the Schiavo case and the discussions of it on here have brought back all the pain of her daughter's case.
I admire Zooke very, very much. She's a fine lady. Those of you who don't know her should make her acquaintence. Those of you who do know her are invited to post here something you like about her, or even just words of encouragement. Please be kind to my very good friend, Zooke.

Dearest Zooke, there is nothing I can say to comfort your heart, save this: you are a treasure. Your wisdom and your willingness to share with the rest of us are sweet blessings indeed. *huggles*

Oh Eutrusca, how thoughtful you are. No one could ask for a better more compassionate friend. And the rest of you are in my heart, too. It doesn't matter that not many have posted. I'm not flamboyant or flashy. I'm pretty much dull as dishwater. :p Most on here probably don't remember me from one post to the next. What does matter is that if they need someone to listen or talk to or just give them a good whack on the back of the head when they need it, they remember that I am here for them. That is the ultimate in appreciation.
I've had a great day and I feel much better. We discussed and agreed as a family that we made the right choice when it was needed. We also remembered all of the hilarious pranks that Mary instigated and her wonderful cookies. mmmmmm Everybody had a great time and left full as ticks. I'm going to go shower, put my feet up, and gloat because I have the best family in the whole world. :D
Thank you all so much precious people. I love you.

It's a way of saying ownage. People used to mistype own as pwn so they just kept it like that as a kind of pun that caught on. If you're not familiar with ownage: 'Owning' someone is when you completely massacre the other team in a game or something of the sort. Get it?

Dear Zooke,
I just ran across this post. My heart aches for you because of the difficult decision you and your family had to make. No one knows what what you were going through at that time, and no one should judge the decision you did make. I hope the following words bring some comfort.
The whole physical creation is perishable. These material bodies are composed of atoms; when these atoms begin to separate decomposition sets in, then comes what we call death. This composition of atoms, which constitutes the body or mortal element of any created being, is temporary. When the power of attraction, which holds these atoms together, is withdrawn, the body, as such, ceases to exist.
With the soul it is different. The soul is not a combination of elements, it is not composed of many atoms, it is of one indivisible substance and therefore eternal. It is entirely out of the order of the physical creation; it is immortal!
Scientific philosophy has demonstrated that a simple element ('simple' meaning 'not composed') is indestructible, eternal. The soul, not being a composition of elements, is, in character, as a simple element, and therefore cannot cease to exist.
The soul, being of that one indivisible substance, can suffer neither disintegration nor destruction, therefore there is no reason for its coming to an end. All things living show signs of their existence, and it follows that these signs could not of themselves exist if that which they express or to which they testify had no being. A thing which does not exist, can, of course, give no sign of its existence. The manifold signs of the existence of the spirit are for ever before us.

You always have a lovely message of the hope, peace, and love that God offers us. I gain so much by listening to your calm voice of reason and salvation. Thank you.

I'm new to these forums and just ran across this. I'm so sorry for what you had to go through. I don't know you, and I don't really know what to say, as words can't do justice in such situations. I can however tell you, that I can empathize with a part of what Eutrusca mentioned about you. More than you can imagine.
I wish you well...
