Interesting notes from Mosul Memo

Reading through some of the released US Army memos, I ran into the following interesting notes. Concerning an incident where a High School boy's jaw was broken and had to be wired shut while he was under US Army custody:

The AR 15-6 investigating officer, ______, concluded that ______ jaw was broken by an intentional act, but was unable to determine the actual injury-causing event. _______ jaw was broken either as a result of a fall or from a blow administered likely by _______.

I find it interesting that they have a good idea of who did it but did nothing about it. But here is the most interesting part of all this, it helps shed some light on who these people the US government is imprisoning and torturing are, and what types of crimes they committed:

...This combined with the increased aggressiveness (note seizures based on sole source reporting began Nov 03) on the part of the division ...

In other words, some of the people they are imprisoning and torturing are people who were singled out as possible insurgents by only one person. This apparently caused a large enough influx of new prisoners that the person who wrote this memo sites it as one of the main reasons the unit is overworked. So, a large number of these torture victims are merely people that some guy singled out as possible insurgents. Imagine if it were possible to have anyone you wanted locked up by simply telling someone that person might be an insurgent, and you would not get in trouble for it. How many people would utilize this against people they have a grudge against or they are competing against?

The memo in question can be found in page 001173 in the following pdf:

It's from the ACLU website which means the Bushevik apologists will immediately slam this as biased without even bothering to see if it's authentic or not.

And catchphrase copouts are increasingly becoming en vogue with American foreign policy. Label someone a "terrorist," "enemy combatant," or "Anti-Semitic" and people assume all responsibility and burden of proof ends right there.

Joe McCarthy and the people in Salem knew all too well how much damage it can inflict.

No, its hosted on the ACLU website, but its not from there, its from the US Army. However, you are right in that it is biased. It is as biased as you could possibly get towards the US military perspective since they wrote it themselves.
