Who Will be the Next Pope?

It is clear that the Pope is dying, and I think he will be lucky to live until autumn. So, while the Vatican considers this to be a bit of a taboo, no one can help but wonder who will be the next pope.
Here's an interesting article on the matter.

It seems like another conservative will take the thrown, and unlike John Paul II at his coronation, this pope will probably be very old. But at least the Italians may not get it back. They had the thrown for hundreds of years before John Paul II, and they are trying to get it back. The only thing I worry about is that Italy has the most dioceses and cardinals by far. But who knows? Maybe the rest of the world can pull it off.

This next Pope is suppose to be the last one, right?

Conservative? It seems to me as though JP2 is pretty liberal, by Pope standards.

Compared to some, yes. However, he is certainly not a clone of Pope John the twenty something or another.

me.

recognizing that the catholic church needs an outside influence to bring it back from its long decline into poverty and molestation, the church will look to a new generation of divinely inspired anti-clerical atheists.

I for one am hoping for a Pope that will encourage progression and change within the Church.

It is irrelevant. The true head of the Catholic Church is H.M. Queen Elizabeth II. Whoever those heretics in Rome pick to be the next misguided individual claiming apostolic succession is beside the point.

Hate to break it to ya, but the Queen has no power in the church, but is a mere figurehead. You want to go back to the days of absolutism, where every monarch controled the Catholic Church in his/her state.

Enough of your heresy. The Monarch of England is the true head of the Established Catholic Church. You are breaking nothing.

Sure she is. Why? Because Henry VIII couldn't decide whom to sleep with.

Noble Henry's first marriage was a blasphemy sanctioned by the Church of Rome and foist upon him when he was to youthful to see its error.

Clear proof that apostolic succession resides in the English Monarchy.

Shouldn't there be a 'MOME' card to go with that one?
