One hell of a damned "fad," don't you think? I suspect those who do this sort of thing are in need of far more than a friggin' "fluffle."

People snap - it's universal I guess.

School killings were a huge thing in China this year, usually recent graduates or grown adults coming back for a killing spree.. no one talks about that much. It's happened in Europe, Canada, the U.S., and the Indian Territories in recent years. It's happened in most parts of Asia, but not as often.

I'm not sure what the common thread is. The guy this week was on Prozac, but that's not usually the case. Still, if it only happens once every five or six years, I'm not sure I'd call it a fad. By this I mean spree killings, not random gang activity in school zones, which is entirely different.

It's not a fad. It's proof that society is steadily degrading and becoming a hostile mess that will end only in more bloodshed.
And it's all the Church's fault for their constant demands of repentance and self-deprivation.
And it's all because of Hitler.

You mean Bush, right?
Its not right to blame things on Hitler, he was a victim of Compulsive Genocide Syndrome, like Saddam.
Your so insensitive.

Take your pick of possible sources (Choose two)

1. Teachers who think drugging the kids into obedience is a good idea.
2. a Teen Culture of Angsty self-obsession.
3. Parents who can't be bothered to do more than send little Johnny (or whoever it is this week) to the pill-prescribing shrink, instead of raising their little darlings to be responsible people.
4. School boards who think (3) is a dandy idea, and have a referral list for doctors who'll prescribe whatever chemical-riot-control you want.
5. "Child Psychologists" who not only don't have kids, but really only understand fictional children.
6. Television Media who turn these turds into Celebrities, thus inspiring other chronic (censored)-ups to grab their fifteen minutes by blowing away some people they mostly relate to the way they do to the characters in Grand Theft Auto.
7. Drug companies who manage to get their new-improved-valium onto the market in spite of the side-effects it has on healthy people and the tendency of shrinks to prescribe shit when nothing is wrong that growing up and taking responsibility wouldn't fix.

8. Some people are just (censored) evil.

Hmmm… there haven’t been any actual school shootings here, thankfully. Though this one guy was shot at with a BB gun at my friend’s school, and another caused a major bomb scare – the police hauled him off crying, 'cos it was just a shoe box with some circuit boards in...

I'm from New Zealand and speak perfect English... bare in mind that this is typing/writing, not speaking.

EDIT: Unlike Americans, we speak proper English, the Queen's English.

There is no "proper" English. There are dialects.

A helluva lot more Americans speak English then Brits, New Zealanders, etc, so our version should be right.

Actually, South Asian English should be the "proper" version, seeing how more people speak English in South Asia than anywhere else :p.

I entirely disagree. By 'proper' English, I refer to the language spoken, and originating in England. The 'Queen's English'.

At least that's what we get fed by Royalists/Imperialists ...

EDIT: The amount of people speaking it aside.

Meh, most English don't even talk "Queens English". There are so many dialects and accents it's impossible to count!

It's all nationalistic propaganda. I say that "proper" English is when you follow the basic rules of Grammar and speak in a recognizable way.

Agreed. We Royalists just don't like Americans, might as well be honest. You're tratiors to the crown... *mumble* j/k :D

You seem to have misjudged me. I didn't take offence. I haven't actually taken offence at all today... but maybe I will have to now.

At any rate, there's no need for you to be so damn rude, and aside from the fact that you've completely thrown us off topic... 'cos that's just real classy too... your own spelling and grammar isn't perfect anway.

*grunt*

*plop*

"And my galbladder!"

*grunt*

*plop*

"And my heart!"

*clunk*

20 minutes later.

*servant enters room*

"Oh, look, the king is dead."

*ahem*

"Long live the king! The king is dead!

"Now, back to scrubbing the shit off of the toilets..."

:)

The thing is, it's partially true. When ole Georgie died, no one cared. He, by that time, was insane, and since he had lead the U.K. into two failed wars against the U.S.(the first one was a loss for them, the second one was a tie), he wasn't all that popular evil.
