Alright I saw a post on lately of Aliens. Thought I would throw this one in too. This is about the possible connection of Aliens and the rise of China as a civilization. It is a long read but interesting. Discuss what you think.

This is a story repeated through many civilizations. Very hard to prove this at all. Although interesting to read ancient texts. You have to read them with the realization that these people were not as educated as you and I. Ignorance breeds confusion and misunderstanding.

I deny all rumours and suggestions that I have anything to do with the rise of the Chinese civilization. (That's what my lawyer advised me to say anyway ;) )
Egypt, Persia, England...and now China. This is a recurring theme in many societies my friend.
What about more important theories? Like the ninjas on the lawn trying to kill us?

My God, I thought I was the only one with this problem. Anyone know how to get rid of them. I tried weed killer, but didn't work.

Pirates. Ninjas hate pirates.
Of course, then you'll have a lawn full of loud and most likely drunk pirates.

Loud and drunk pirates don't use ninja swords. They also most likely would pass out and keep quiet at some point. So anyone know where I can get pirates wholesale?

That's when you kill them off with scurvy! :D
They don't have the same health care as we do, so we'll be fine!

I have always suspected that "Dry Cleaning" technology was "back-engineered". Ancient-Chinese-Secret, my ass!

On the subject of education: shouldn't that be 'as you or me'?

I suppose that it would be a cheap shot to bring up your username, TinFoilHats, and an even cheaper one to conclude that you're a conspiracy theorist. Dang, there I go imitating Ronald Reagan...
In all seriousness, I think we need conspiracy theories. After all, there is nothing quite like those tabloid headlines that call Eminem the anti-christ. Besides, pretty much any political campaign is a conspiracy to make people believe that which may not be entirely true. Any electoral system of government would fall apart without conspiracies!
So I tip my (non-tinfoil) hat to you. Continue theorizing, for it both brightens my day, and probability says that every so often you may be right. The odds are miniscule, but maybe this is one of those times...

Well actually no. But nice try at flaming.

It was actually an honest question: it appears to hinge on whether we take the 'as' to be conjunction or preposition. If it is seen as a conjunction then 'you and I' is to be favoured, whereas if it seen as preposition 'you and me' is preferable.
Here seems to be the best explanation of the issue that I can find:

Conspiracy theories are dangerous, as the innaccurate/wrong one's drown the ones that we need to pay attention to......why do you think companies like fox etc....commission shows like x-files.....24.......etc....etc..

Something to do with the fact that they gain large audiences and thus help to sell the advertising space which is the financial backbone of such companies, or is that all too woefully naive?

Alright well then fine. But you and I speak different forms of "English". The way I was taught was the way I wrote it. Was never told I was wrong from grade school to University. I was taught in America. You on the other hand I noticed that you were not. Most likely UK or Oz.

No, I'm not claiming that you're wrong, in the end it appears to be an arbitrary decision following the word 'as', whereas other prepositions/conjunctions have more clearly defined rules. In fact, I raised the matter as a question initially because I was unsure, but felt inclined to use the 'you and me' construstion myself. As I say, in this case it just appears to be a matter of preference.
