Well, for the purposes of this thread, I will let you in in something I haven't shared;
I actually have quite strong political opinions. SOme of them are decidedly conservative, some decidedly liberal. Some are rather socialist and some very libertarian.
SOmetimes, I don't know where I fit. But most importantly, when analyzing my political affiliation, is that I'm GLAD I don't! Nothing frustrates me as much as party loyalty. I think that like group worship(religion), group politics is one of the great sources of trouble in the world.
Does that help a little?

I did not intend an attack on your character. I thought you nominated yourself here in good humour. I deliberately linked to threads rather than posts.
I apologize for causing offense. I misjudged the situation.
Anyway, I will delete my post (and, after a while) this post.
If you edit your post, you can remove mine altogether.
I did nominate myself in good Humor, and was even working with you on it until you decided to re-open old Threads.
Pointing out how I misrepresented a single number in a Table and then addressed that I was mistaken, was a bit beyond "good Humor", in my mind and warranted a response.
Just know that, I am willing to be a reasonable and objective person until I am attacked, then I give as good as I get.
I believe I will leave my response, for now, and may feel compelled to come remove it if unwarranted attacks on me, by you, can be of a less hostile nature at least...
I don't mind a bit of Humor, as I was trying to represent here, but someone always seems to have to take it to the next level.

Gaar

Well, like Myrth said in the actual screenshot on that link, he's perfectly able to delete it. I'm pretty sure Kanabia posted a link to that thread on IRC that same night while Myrth was there, and whoa, the thread isn't deleted. Funny how that works.
It definitely suggests a HUGE bias in a subject that is discussed here all of the time.
So just because Myrth doesn't like Bush/Blair, he's biased? Despite a lack of any bias in any of his rulings in a mod capacity? So... you want apolitical robots to act as mods then? Because there's ALWAYS going to be biases if you go the 'human' route. The trick is finding the ones that don't let their biases effect their rulings.
But hey, that's just me and Myrth is free to say whatever he likes where ever he likes.
Uh... yes?
Although he should be prepared to listen to those who are thoroughly disgusted that such a thing would even be discussed, let alone have a link made to it in a Forum that he is an authority in.
Those of you who are thoroughly disgusted can grow a skin, or not read that thread. There's absolutely no reason why you should complain about it, since no one is MAKING you read it. Then again, you could always complain in Moderation, since you might have a case that the mods will agree with for once.
EDIT: I would also suggest that, it is also fairly good evidence as to why Myrth wouldn't allow a discussion of how threats made to the life of the President should be reported and simply closed the Thread without explanation.
... Just because a thread in Moderation didn't go your way doesn't mean there were biases present. Myrth's ruling on that (as I recall) was that Bush isn't a player on NS, therefore it's allowed to say 'I wish Bush was dead'. Whereas saying 'I will kill Bush (or anyone else, for that matter)' isn't ever allowed. Get your facts straight before you kvetch next time.

'Suggesting that watching'? I... really can't understand what you're saying here.
Yes, the wording doesn't quite work, but it looks like, according to the rest of your response, that you understood what I was saying, didn't you?

I wasn't concerned with anything but it being linked here, in this Thread...

Lack of bias in his rulings? I undertsand the closing of Threads in Moderation that he didn't wish to discuss, but what about the Thread I began in General that was closed without a reason being given?

Well, since a link was posted in this Thread, how was I to know the subject matter or how disgusting someone might be, until I had read it?

You might like to check the Threads in Moderation, I believe there are a few outstanding Issues still being decided...
I also linked a post that was anything BUT just saying "wishing", I guess you missed that link too?!?!
Me get my facts straight? Perhaps you should do yourself as you suggest of others?!?!

EDIT: Me let it get back on Topic? Except for my first post explaining my disgust, every other post of mine has been a response to anothers post.

Ok, know what? You win. I'm not dragging this thread offtopic. You can believe all the mods, or just Myrth, are biased if that helps you. I'll just agree. Now, are you willing to let this thread return to it's original topic?
*with apologies to the OP for my part in derailing the conversation so far*

Hmmmm....
A Moderator on these Boards being cited in a IRC Forum suggesting that watching President Bush do some fairly nasty things with Tony Blair's severed head...
I am not so sure that, as a Moderator, I would want such things posted in a Forum that I am supposed to be an authority on.

You just took a huge leap in the race for Anti-Goofball. :p

None taken...
And here I thought I was out of the running.
Although, no one has yet to reveal if there are any perks to said position...

Well, in order to be my polar opposite, you would have to go through life almost never being struck in the groin. That could be considered a perk.

Yes it can.
My concern however is what that means for you!
Although now that I think about it, if I am to be your opposite, I shouldn't really have a concern for your welfare...
By the way...
Who is deciding this matter and when?

Well, it isn't as if I spread my legs and say, 'Kick me in the Jimmies!' -very often. But I seem to be a magnet for strikes to the groin, both accidental and intentional. So it would make sense that the Anti-Goofball be the opposite. ...or a woman.
Perhaps I'll put up a poll in a bit.

Well, I have to say I do not take many strikes to the groin area, and I am not a woman.
A Poll? Now I have surely lost...

Unfortunately, hated and despised people don't last long here.
I'd rather stick to forum members now, and real life people. You know, I'm going to do the poll right now.
