How many cups of sugar does it take to get to the moon?

A standard sugar cube is 1*1*1in. which is 1 cubic inch.
Each inch is approx. 2.54cm and 2.54*2.54*2.54 is approx. 16.4 cc.
1cc=1mL and there are 236mL in a cup, so for each cup of sugar, add 14 inches.

There are 5280 feet in a mile and approx 240,000 miles to the moon in a state of paraphelion so there are 1,267,200,000 feet or 15,206,400,000 inches to the moon. if there are 14 inches per cup then there are around 1.1 billion cups of sugar to get to the moon. Of course these calculations are approximate and assumed under ideal conditions.

So, what did you do over your spring break?

The real question is, after you built a bridge to the moon out of sugar, would you find the Kombucha Mushroom people there? And would they be sitting around all day?

There are some mistakes in that calculation.
1. The size and shape of a sugar cube is about a cubic centimeter.
2. You gave the distance from the center of the Earth to the center of the moon instead of the distance from surface to surface.

The distance from surface to surface is about 3.7*10^10 or 3.7e10 centimeters so there would be that many sugar cubes. There are about 236.58824 cubic centimeters in a cup and thus about 1.5e8 cups of sugar from the Earth to the moon

I usually eat the 1ft^3 cubes for mealtimes, and an occasion 1L cube for snacks.

I feel I should be able to write it off. Labour might even get my vote based on this bumper pay weekend (3 public holidays) but I'm sure they'll annoy me again by the election and I'll end up writing a lewd comment on my voting form instead.

I think anything that helps my business counts.

When they switched to four terms at some stage when I was at primary school, they tried to line up the first lot of holidays with easter. I do recall easter tuesday holidays being a thing, so I assume I had them at some stage.
