Not really...it's just another reason to interrupt my regular Sunday routine to go do family stuff...rather annoying, really.

Who cares if jesus went to heaven on that day?

I just like the Cadbury's eggs. Oh, and I get to visit my mom and have leg of lamb for dinner.

If you're Christian, Easter is obviously important

If you're not...Spring Break still kicks ass...and is very necessary.

If you're not Christian but you were brough up that way and your entire family still is (ie me), Easter is a chance to see your family members along side a worthless hour Sunday morning. Ah well...the good parts outweigh the bad. That and I still make my parents give me candy...lol (I'm 20)

Who cares if jesus went to heaven on that day?

And they keep changing their minds about it anyway, even if it is only the day on which he was crucified (rather than go to heaven).

The chocolate is good though, and you can always pretend that it is any one of the pre-christian "end of winter, life returns" festivals and just have fun.

I don't believe in God, I don't believe in Heaven, I don't believe that Jesus was the messiah, and the Easter Bunny quit visiting me about 10 years ago. Therefore, for me Easter is an incredibly worthless holiday.

Yeah, he and the Easter Bunny had a real nice picnic in heaven.

Don't be a troll. If you don't like religion, don't post in a thread about it.

Well, it doesn't quite meet up to Christmas's standards, but still CANDY! And for the note, Im an agnostic... and I don't care if they're christian holidays, so long as I benefit.

When I was a child I loved Easter, now I just notice the decorations and move on.

I don't like how stores are trying to turn Easter into a "2nd Christmas" with all the gift baskets and such, we don't need another giant blow your money on worthless things holiday.

That would be Eoster. Easter being the christian corruption of a fine pagan fertility festival. At least there's chocolate.

I love Easter...the religious side and the fun side. I especially enjoy watching the children in our family walking around with their Easter baskets and just...having fun!

OK, who does...The Bunny Hop? :D

I like the fact that i get time off. but i hate the fact that the whole world closes on easter friday, through to monday. so i would happily forgo the days off if the rest of my country would stop hijacking religious festivals (i am very much not religious) and using them for commercial gain.

i get plenty of holiday i can take at any time, i don't need to take it just at easter. and the time off is no use really because i can't do anything cos everythings closed!!!
