I love Soul Coughing, good choice.

It was kind of a cop-out on my part. Condensing three records into one means you don't have to cut much. But it still felt like I was leaving too much out.

Now Michael Jackson, that's an ambitious hit list.

Well, with Jackson I didn't have to stray from his big hits much, with Soul Coughing you are dealing with a band who didn't actually have any actual hits, outside of maybe Circles. So you had a much more difficult task in picking out songs.

Yeah, I've had it for a couple months now. Listened to it nonstop for about a month when I got it, normally playing The Mariner's Revenge over and over and over again... absolutely epic.

That is a fantastic song with incredible lyrics.

But that album was released on the 22nd of March. I've had it for two days, and I got it around noon the day it came out. Did you snag yourself an advance copy?

The funny side note here is that Moon Sammy was my building security guard for a couple years in undergrad. He was like Ghengis Khan poured into a rent-a-cop suit. He was a real ball buster.

We would always razz him with stuff like, "So, what's it like being famous?" and he'd always say something like, "Are you hiding a keg under that wheelchair?"

But about the hits, I don't get is why Casiotone and Beelzebub are always, always included in the greatest hits and various live albums. They're okay, but I'd rather grab more tracks off Irresistible Bliss.
