That's a bit over the top. If the penis were removed that would be a more accurate comparison. Circumcision leaves the glans intact(unless the bris was a miss :eek: ), so most of the sensation is still there.

It depends on the person. I've heard that it can reduce it a lot, and for some people, barely at all.

The female analogy would be removal of the clitoral hood. This is practised in some parts of south east asia, but only on adult women (not infants) who choose to do so and usually it's not removal, it's more often a little snip in the hood.

As has been noted, comparing the removal of the foreskin to the removal of the clitoris is not, as you say, "reasonable". A reasonable comparison to removing the clitoris would be to remove half of the penis.

Though there are two "G-spots" inside of the vagina, the clitoris is the primary location for sexual pleasure on the female body, just as the area around the head of the penis is the primary erogenous zone on a male.

Though I do agree that removing the foreskin without consulting the owner (since you can't really consult a newborn) is not very fair, I disagree with most of your support for your point. I ESPECIALLY disagree about the female genital mutilation part. In fact, I think most women would find the comparison you draw between the clitoris and the foreskin extremely offensive. Most of the women I know would, at least.

A better reason not to circumcise is that the foreskin helps lubricate sexual activity in tandem with the vagina and has sensual nerves of its own. Also, the common medical reasons for circumcision (reduced risk of unrinary tract infection, penile cancer, and cervical cancer in partners) are debatable.

I don't care to get into a debate about abortion itself here, but I want to point out that there is a major difference between the two that invalidates your comparison: No other person's body is involved in a circumcision, just the newborn male. However, both the mother and the recently fertilized zygote/embryo have a stake in an abortion.

The suggestion that removing a woman's primary source of sexual pleasure is directly comparable to removing the foreskin, which has a rather small effect on sexual pleasure, is insensitive, and I've seen women take offense to that suggestion from other people before. This is an especially sensitive issue because violent genital mutilation (for the purpose of sadistically taking away sexual pleasure from women) is a major human rights problem in many foreign countries. In any event, I don't see what could have possessed you to consider this a "reasonable" comparison aside from either intense chavinism or a woeful misunderstanding of human anatomy.

I have had cut partners and many more uncut partners. Over all, the cut guys were cleaner in the dick area but were desensitised and did need more stimulation. They also had to find alternative methods for masturbation, which was one drawback (excuse the pun) of being circumcised.

I prefer the aesthetic of a cut penis myself (I'm from UK, I don't see many) and have never refused to give oral sex on the basis that a man is uncut.

The "Clean it" issue is non-existent. I've heard it said many times, but sorry the only time at which it could become an issue is if you're running around for a very extended time period without showering. Like say, more than a week, or more likely more than two weeks. In modern society the "cleaning" reason is bogus.

And it certainly doesn't prevent spontaneous sex if you're actually taking the least bit care of yourself hygienically. And that least bit is essentially the same as a guy who is cut.

There is no reference to circumcision in the Qur'an. Male circumcision is popularly carried out because it is thought of as a 'sunnah' act (following the practice of the Prophet and his companions). However female circumcision is out of the question. Islamic law protect's a woman's right to have sexual enjoyment and divorce her husband if he does not deliver sexual satisfaction therefore it would be forbidden to perform a clitorodectomy because it would impair the woman's ability to enjoy sex.

That seems an odd generalization...

It is more about the level of experience and age. If a guy's young and inexperienced, he'll be off in no time flat. If a guy gets more experience, he can learn to control the length of time before he gets off. Perhaps you have experience with experienced uncut men and less experienced cut men? I've simply found no difference in terms of how long it takes or how much stimulation is required when comparing cut to uncut.

I've seen too many victims of domestic violence (especially young women) to think that they made good choices in a partner. These men weren't beating them from day one - but there were warning signs that these men were assholes.
