I have a painful to watch video of a person(islamic) being punished because he was found guilty of rape. I have no idea if its real or not, nor what country nor what the trial was like. I dont even know if this is an accepted means of punishment or an exception.

I am not posting this to make ANY sort of commentary on Islam or punishments or what is right or wrong or anything remotely resembling that(I am not going to air my opinions on the culture/religion/whatever in this thread). I am writing this solely because I think watching something like this is an experience(no comments on if it is a good or bad experience). Its just something to add to our experiences/things we have seen/talked about in life.

My issues.

1) how do I get this from my hard drive eto a place where you guys can see it.

2)Is it permissable to post links to this sort of stuff(It isnt sexual, but it is graphic)

3)Does anyone actually want to see such stuff?(No death involved, it isnt one of THOSE sorts of vids so perverts dont need to get excited)

Apparently you missed the vids of women being shot in the back of the head in soccer fields by the taliban while cheering mobs gazed upon the site. Or you missed news about the Iranian mullahs reducing a 13 year old girl's sentence from death to 'only' 105 lashes. Her crime? Being impregnated, possibly raped although it wouldn't classify as such under their laws, by her 15 year old brother. Oddly enough, he was never under a sentence of death, instead he only got 150 lashes. Sadly, this shit is too fucking common.

Castrated.. not exactly. His member(rather than his testacles) is removed. Removed via a really big sword.

One thing I am really curious about is someone had to get him "arroused" enough so that he could be placed on the wooden "block"

Was this duty included in the guys job description? As in "come work for XYZ prison, aside from your normal duties of beating prisoners, you will periodically have to manually arouse other men so that they can be dismembered"
While he was being "aroused", do you think he was desperately thinking of non arousing things so that he could postpone the punishment. You would think that with that type of pressure, it would be easy to stay "limp"

There is only a 1 second bit that is actually graphic. At least, for the guys sake I hope it was only 1 second. You never can tell with these low quality vids.

Whether he does or does not is not shown in the vid. Its only 250kbs. In fact, it happens so quick that there isnt even much if any blood shown. I am guessing there must have been some medical intervention involded. At the very least, a hole for his urethra must be kept open.

The biggest tip off would be the fact that all the women watching this take place are wearing Bhurkas. Last I checked, Bhurkas werent a fashion statement and it is uncommed to find them being worn prevalently in non islamic areas.

Whether the criminal is himself in fact Muslim is unknown. But it appears that he is being judged by Islamic law.

Edit: Shariah law IS NOT ISLAMIC LAW. Shariah is basically old Arabic law. If Islamic nations weren't so founded on corruption, it shouldn't exist - Turkey is a good example of a Muslim nation flourishing without it, and there are others. Qu'ran is incompatible with Shariah yet somehow they get away with it. It's a bit like the Inquisition, only a lot less so and over a much longer period of time

I don't pretend to be an expert of it. I couldn't tell you. But I know it's not "Islamic". Also I wasn't referring to the video when I said castration, but another post.

If he is actually guilty I have no pity for him whatsoever, the problem is I don't exactly trust fear-based tribal councils to be making wise decisions in the matter.
