For those of you who thought Oprah has no balls guess where Oprah and her train of body guards are moving to? Yes, their new real-estate in a genuine slum. Perhaps she can call Martha and ask her for a hand to beautify the living space!:D I guess this just prooves that Oprah isn't just menopause, periods and rape. This and her work in Africa probably make her the celebrity most in touch with the disenfranchised.

CHAT show queen Oprah Winfrey is turning her back on a life of privilege for a TV series about the housing crisis in inner-city America.
The 51-year-old media mogul, who enjoys an annual income of more than $380 million, will reside in a poverty-stricken public housing project in Chicago for a month as part of the series.
Winfrey will be shadowed by security guards during the transformation but will otherwise fend for herself like others living in the poverty-stricken projects, her spokesman said.
"She has interviewed just about every major celebrity and done shows on almost every subject imaginable, but now she intends to tackle really tough, serious issues, putting herself right in the front line," a spokesman said.
Of course you know people are going to bitch about Oprah. I love Oprah and I think she's a great human being and people just need to find things to bitch about. Be prepared to hear it!

Agreed publicity stunt ... for another frigging tv show so she can make more money. Gah and its only for a month and she gets to keep all her money... how much you want to bet whatever apartement she moves in will be NOTHING like the living conditions many of her neighbors endure.

Wow a month in the slums, and she'll still be rich. Heres an idea, how about she has to spend a YEAR in the slums, and she'll have to either a. give up her money to charity (all of it) or b. put it away for the year. Then she'll have to get an average job, get paid the average wage for that job, and live her life like regular people do. When she does that THEN I'll be impressed.

Either she's in touch with the disenfranchised, or she's good at public relations and self-promotion.
What does she need bodyguards for? She's against gun ownership, so she shouldn't need any bodyguards with guns. She can call the police like everyone else in the slums.
