It boggles the mind. Just the logistics of it alone...

The above reference is from the pilot episode of Babylon 5, a movie called The Gathering. But science has been making forays into science fiction and turning the mind-boggling into reality. For instance, I could swear this sounds like the same technology (http://www.mytelus.com/news/article.do?pageID=ab_home&articleID=1874991) they use on Earth 2.

But seriously... wouldn't one good thrust slide you right out of bed?

Not if you were in restraints. Or perhaps had something you could brace yourself and loved one(s) on.

We will of course never know... because everybody knows that thrusting is not a problem that Babylon 5 fans will eeeeever have to worry about...

Add some padded side/head/foot boards and think of the fun. :)

I rather think a completely downward thrust, with no lateral movement at all, would be logistically impossible for a human to achieve.

But the empirical experiments to establish if this is true would be fun. :p

Edit: If the link is really fixed, this brings a whole new meaning to virtual meetings

I think you'd need a bowl shaped bed. And perhaps some dramamine for the motion sensetive.

And if the sides are steep enough... you really can say you couldn't get outta bed..
