Does anyone know any latin? my nation's motto (in english) is:
Relative Truth is Universal
the closest latin translation i could get was:
Relativ Verum Est Omnimodus
but the "Relativ" refers to a person related to you (like your aunt), not the adjective (like subjective). does anyone know anything about latin to translate it better? thanks.
Respectfully,
DRP
Uy, sorry I don't, and my cousin who minored in Latin is not online right now. I post this so that your thread gets the bump: hope it helps.

Are there any other words meaning reletive you could use, inspecific eg?

The reason why you have that problem about it not translating; is there is no exact word for that type of relative in Latin.

looks like relativity isn't universal.

how about 'subjective'?

Im sorry but some of this Latin looks fake and I speak it fluently. You cant take English and just change it.

I think yer in trouble here. There's no easy, slogan/motto-worthy way of saying "relative." For an adverb, you can use "comparate" or "ex comparatione." For an adjective, I think you've got to build some phrase like "quod in comparatione."

Are you sure "relativ" is a word? Also, "verum" is a neuter noun, so "omnimodus" should also be in the neuter form "omnimodum".
I couldn't find a translation for "relative", so I looked up "comparative".
How's:
"Verum comparativum est omnimodum"
