The G8 are the 8 richest countries in the world. The summit of these eight countries - Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, United States - will meet in July 2005 in Gleneagles, Scotland.
Are the G8 a force for good in the world, or an evil cabal of hypocritical Capitalists?

Whether they are good or bad depends upon what they decide to do, not on their existence. I prefer to wait and see what comes out of their meeting. How much attention will they pay to the G20 resolutions, and remember that this is really just a preparatory meeting for the WTO talks later in the year.

Good. Better than UN. At least this is about a group of rich countries that do something. Rather than UN, all the countries whine but without the US, their useless.
