oh yeah, they've got damn fine food too.
Not sure where I will take my summer holiday this year... Spain is always an option. I do love Barcelona the most... one of my favourite cities in the world.
Barcelona is a great city and la Barca a great team, what more does one need?

I completely agree. It's great and pretty diverse as well... city, beach, the Mont Juic (sp?) area around the 1992 Olympic stadium.... very beautiful... great food... great people... I could go on... i think maybe I shall go for the Spanish F1 grand-prix weekend.

Me too, sort of. There's a uni soccer tournament there, and I'm part of the Fribourg team. We get to wear official uni-shirts and all that, and free accommodation. I'm very excited :D

The best thing about spain? there are so many things...
the sun
the long summer
the thunderstorms are beautiful when they come
the food. 3.50 euros for a beautiful chicken breast in a restaurant
5 euros for a bottle of good wine in a restaurant
the cost of living. The equivilent of councuil tax for me this year was 72 euros for the year!
the views
the laid back attitude
the social life
the pools
the animals (even strays. i feed them)
the prices (2 large, de-boned chicken breasts for 3 euros)
the ferias and bank holidays (any excuse for a party)
But for a rounded view i also present the bad things...
Curelty to most animals (1 of my dogs cane from a plastic bag in a bin not to mention the bull fights. animal protection laws only came in 2 rs ago and they say things like " the rope a dog is ties to must be twice it's body length" yeah, that'll help!)
the sexist attitide to women
the anti english/american attitude
the rudeness (this was a peasent country until outside inventment)
the money grabbing of the spanish
the bad drivers
Still, would i move back to the UK?

Plus, they invite American tourists to their country, so they can watch them get gored by bulls. Even the French aren't that clever.
I guess the only other great thing about Spain, is.. well.. it's not Mexico.

Probably one of the few places in the world where a wednesday at 5 in the morning there are open bars and traffic in the street.
By the war 'zeñor' is only in the south.
