I seem to remember there are a fair number of fans of this particular band on NS. I've got a fairly specific question for you people. One of their songs that I recently got to listen to seems to have a chorus that is a series of puns on a word or words.

What is the english translation of the song "monster c.c" ? Or at least can someone give me a copy of the Japanese words so I can translate it? The chorus is fascinating but very opaque.

Its fun to listen to, but my Japanese isn't good enough to translate it myself, and none of my dictionaries seem to have the word in it either. I'm a little confused as to the meaning of the song.

It is REALLY not hard to tell the names of the pillows songs, the choruses are ALWAYS in english provided its not an instrumental, and some of their songs are totally in english (doesn't mean you can understand a damn word they are saying - Subhuman is english and We Have a Theme Song has an english remix

And besides that not reallly being on topic, their music translates pretty well to english apparently.

Near as I can tell, the first line in the song is as follows...
Kokoronai koe ga hibiki...

...Oh sheesh, I've found it. I found that song's lyrics online! Damn my foolishness. Sorry for bugging you people. The chorus I was having trouble with was this one..

The reason why is that they had words like "Nemurenai" (I cannot sleep), "Suwarenai" ?(I cannot sit)? and "Yume mitai na yumemitai" (I want to dream).

The translation I have says the chorus is...

Huh. Interesting play on words, very pretty to listen to. You learn something every day; another wrinkle on your brain as a new pathway is made in your mind. Up till now I had a ski slope for a frontal lobe ;).

'Ushillo Bushi', and 'Flower of Carnage' - both of which are excellent songs, and well worth a listen! :)

I had REAL trouble getting many of their rare albums imported to the US, so I've been contenting myself with Kazaa downloads until I can get them. Its off their "Smile" album the discography says. I had little luck until about a week ago, when suddenly Kazaa let me dl about 20 or so songs off their rare albums and B sides. I was so happy! But as you can see, I'm having trouble understanding some of them.

As I explained a post ago, I had a number of their more popular albums (thank goodness for Seattle's obsession with rare CD imports!), but their old stuff, their B sides and single albums are simply too hard to get around here. Most importers charge upwards of 40$ for a single CD! I've taken to looking around for them on P2P networks.

I've already been translating and more or less obsessing over "the pillows" for about 2 years now I guess. But this recent influx or "new" songs has me scrambling for info on their songs.

I highly suggest it! Its excellent!
