My computer won't let me use MSN messenger, Internet Explorer, Windows Media player (only for things like online videos, and won't let me search for stuff on iTunes. I know it's not a connection problem, because Firefox and AIM are working fine. I tried turning off the Firewall, and it still isn't working. Can somebody help me?
EDIT: I forgot. I'm on Windows XP and everything works fine on all the other accounts. I just did a virus check, so I know its not that.

There are thousands different combinations of problems that could cause those symptoms. I suggest:
1)Restarting
2)Checking for spyware
3)Checking for viruses
4)Performing Chkdisk

If your internet isn't working after this perform a system restore back to a time when the computer was working. After that seek proffesional help.

EDIT: whoops never read your edit. Now I'm almost 100% sure its some software problem. Have you installed anything over the past few days?

That happens to me sometimes, usually just after I have run a screen consuming program like FM2005 or Empire Earth. I just log out of my user account, log back in, and everything works fine.

1. Did it
2. Did it.
3. Did it.
4. Chkdisk? What is that?

I can't do a system restore, because I didn't make any backup disks. I don't want to get proffesional help, because it is only on my account. Everyone elses is working perfectly fine. I'm going to try to restart it again.
EDIT: I didn't see your's either. All I've done is installed a Firefox theme, and thats it.

It's working again.

Still, what were you doing before the problem occured? This should not have happened.

Here's what I would do:

Turn it off and turn it back on again.

If it isn't fixed, hunt down someoen who knows what they're talking about and get them to fix it.
