Tarantinos Films!
What is the best Quentin Tarantino movie?
I like them all, but have to say Pulp Fiction is from another world!
I love that movie. It's one of the most remarkable movies from the 90's!

The only one I've seen was "Pulp Fiction" and while it had good acting, its plot is perhaps the worst of any movie ever.

They are all great. I can't choose between Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown.
@QuentinTarantino : I believe it's 'From Dusk Till Dawn'.

That was 'From Dusk Till Dawn' I think.
It wasn't directed by Tarantino. Therefore not in the list.
I think he wrote it though?!?

It's called "From Dusk til Dawn", except it's not a Tarratino movie. It's a Robert Rodriguez movie, who also did "El Mariachi", "Desperado", "Once upon a time in Mexico" and a couple of other very cool and stylish movies (and no, I'm not talking about Spy Kids!)
I think Tarrantino's are all good, except 'Jackie Brown'. That was a bit too contrived for my liking.
If forced to choose, I'd probably go for Kill Bill 2.

Yep, wrote the screenplay and served as executive producer (along with Robert Rodrigeuz).
Does anyone know what an executive producer actually does?
And anyone else find it odd that someone who calls their country QuentinTarrantino doesn't have much idea about what movies he's been involved in?

Tarantino STARRED in From Dusk till Dawn, as the stupid psycho rapist brother. I felt happy for those girls that got away at the beginning of the movie.

YES, I do know that Tarrantino starred in the movie, but that doesn't make it a Tarrantinto movie, does it? The style of the movie is most definitely Rodriguez.
I'm going with Reservoir Dogs, but I love Pulp Fiction, too.
Not many people hate Tarantinos movies :)
But to be serious This is NS. Where are the all who aren't afraid to disagree :D
I voted for Reservoir Dogs, thougha combined Kill Bill option would have won had it been an possibility, love what I've see of Tarantino, but probably can't watch Pulp Fiction (when people shoot up, or even suggest it I tend to get sick)

Tarantino split them up for some reason?

I know this topic is dead, but I'm throwing my two cents in. Dusk till Dawn, Tarantino did direct part of the movie, the first half. If you've ever seen it, you can tell when he quit directing, and let Rodriquez take over, not only in music tastes, but the movie makes a 180 from when they switched.
I voted pulp fiction, although all of his movies were excellent. I jsut love the scene in the pawn shop, "...A pair of pliers and a blow torch...." That is the best line ever

Yeah, I like Quentin Tarantino's movies, (except his contribution to Four Rooms), but they're hardly the best thing since sliced bread. He is good at movies which have punchy surface, but little else in the sense of depth. But of course where QT is concerned, depth isn't really what he wants to focus on. Dialogue, quirky characters, cool plot developments, pop culture references and violence are what motivate him. This isn't a bad thing of course.
One thing I do have against him, (though this is hardly his fault) is the fact that EVERY film student in existence now wants to make Quentin Tarantino movies.

Tarantino said himself that he will not be doing a Jason movie. He said his next projects are going to be Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, which will be released in the US in coming months and be rated NC-17. The other is of course Inglorious Bastards. So there will be no Jason movie.

He's strange. While Reservoir Dogs was good, and his new one looks cool, both Kill Bills sucked so bad that they put me in a horrific bad mood afterwards, both times.
The man just seems more geared to making movies for the stereotypical, obsessive drama geeks and people who work at blockbuster for 5+ years.
There are so many better movies out there. From his obsession with the unattractive Uma Thurman to his other obsession with stupid looking violence in the place of character and depth, QT is a dork.

If I had a choice for a director other than QT I would go with Gus Van Sant(Good Will Hunting, and Elephant), Sam Mendes(American Beauty), or Sam Raimi(Spider-man movies, Evil Dead Series) those are badass directors.

You know why Tarantino is a dick?
Because he has a long run where he ain't doing anything, so he slaps his name on other people's movies.
First it was the "Rolling Thunder" bullshit. "Quentin Tarantino's Rolling Thunder Films presents Chunking Express."
Then it was just: "Quentin Tarantino presents Hero."
Bullshit. The dude has built a career based on what he likes, not what he does. All the way from the Sonny Chiba business in "True Romance" to watching him spend four hours trying to dry hump the Shaws in "Kill Bill."
"Reservoir Dogs" was the exception. That was a pretty good movie.

But we all know that he didn't do Hero. He was the one that brought it the states and pushed it here. Also, who cares if it takes him a while to make a movie, that's his choice. He did write True Romance so that he should get credit for because it was a badass film. The guy makes great movies consistently. Every film he has made has been good, and were talking about directing here. Who cares if the guy is a dick, that doesn't make him a bad director.
Just look at Roman Polanski, he sexually abused some little girl and took off to Europe so he couldn't be prosecuted. But he still makes great movies no matter what. People say that Francis Ford Coppalla is a dick but that doesn't change the fact that Godfather parts 1 and 2 are still awesome.

Oh, yeah? How about "Battle Beyond the Stars"? I wouldn't give that a "good." (Nor Kill Bill, for that matter.)
And he didn't "bring and push" hero. That was screened at the Film Forum months before the Tarantino circulation began. And how much of an auteur does it take to realize that a Jet Li movie in the style of Crouching Tiger is gonna hit big?
Over-ra-ted.
EDIT: Note that I'm not saying he's a dick because of rumors about what kind of person he is. I'm saying he's a dick because his movies are by-and-large derivative crap and that this is mirrored in his hanging his name on others' works.

a) No, they weren't and b) marketing maneuver.
You still never answered his question as to what is overrated.
And I do agree with Sibert Buby that both Kill Bills were great. I will agree that splitting them up was ridiulous and was obviously about money. The movies are still great though. The thing that I really liked about the Kill Bills was the music and how well it fit with the movie. Both movies were fantastic.

I guess I wasn't clear above:
Both Kill Bills were overrated.

Actually no. Most males loved kill bill because in 1 you see a tight yellow-clad Uma Thurman and in 2 to see Uma and Darryl Hannah wail on each other. Not something for us girls but good movies.

Thank you. I wouldn't say that I like the Kill Bills because of the Uma Thurman outfits or her and Darryl Hannah wailing on each other, but that's just me. I like them because I think they are good movies.

Kill Bill has possibly the worst ending ever. Plus I felt he pulled the punches in Kill Bill. The fights betweens between Carradine, Hannah, and Lucy Liu were all over before they began.

Well it was predictable... and to be honest you'd think there'd be some huge fight leading up to Bill. Sort of like with Liu and Hannah but it's some retarded 5 palm thing.

Apparently, he directed only one scene in it, but I bet it will be badass. Sin City overall looks cool, just because it's stylish.

I must concur. Sin City does look like one badass flick. Benicio Del Toro all the way baby, Michael Madsen too.

I voted Reservoir dogs because True Romance wasn't listed. He wrote that one. Great movie.
