Sunday afternoon about one hr before sunset stop by the house and help the Baha'i's welcome in the new year. After 19 days of fasting from sunrise to sunset we are very excited to gather together for prayers and fellowship and food. All are welcome--Muslims, Jews, Christians, Atheists, Agnostics and all others. Lets put aside all of our differences for a few hours and celebrate the start of a new year.

"Soon the whole world, as in springtime, will change its garb. The turning and falling of the autumn leaves is past; the bleakness of the winter time is over. The new year hath appeared and the spiritual springtime is at hand. The black earth is becoming a verdant garden; the deserts and mountains are teeming with red flowers; from the borders of the wilderness the tall grasses are standing like advance guards before the cypress and jessamine trees; while the birds are singing among the rose branches like the angels in the highest heavens, announcing the glad-tidings of the approach of that spiritual spring, and the sweet music of their voices is causing the real essence of all things to move and quiver."

It's not too late to come to the New Year celebration. Pack up the kids, grab your mother-in-law, the neighbor, anyone and come on over. Oh, yes. Bring your appetite.

Different religion, different calender. Spring is a nice time to start the year.

You don't have to come to Minnesota. You can find Baha's all over the world.
