Yeah I've always loved the jaws movies. First was always the best, the second was also really good. The third one....was one of the most rediculous things I've ever seen. How did Dennis Quad get sucked into that one? I mean seriously....the giant shark at the end was the size of a destroyer for pete's sake. Anyway, the 4th one was alright. I still think it's funny that Michael Cain skipped going to the Acedemy Awards and receiving his oscar so he could play his role in Jaws 4.

I liked the first one, the three men on the boat were priceless, talking about their wounds, while the sheriff just stood there and watched. And the tatoo thing? rofl "I know what was on it" "What?" "MOTHER!"

The second, well, yeah, it worked somehow.

Third one? Oi...

Fourth... no comment...

There was another Jaws, you know?

It was the guy with the metal teeth in the Bond movies with Moore.

In an interview with him at the time, he said he was at that age and popularity where he could choose his roles. So he was choosing them according to their location, rather than their scripts. That's why he'll happily take a movie filming in the Bahamas, but you'll never see him in a movie set in Siberia, no matter how good the role maybe.
I admire that sort of work ethic. Man has his priorities set right.

That and the old Battlestar Gallactica part of the ride where priceless to a little kid-at least when I was one.

Right now, not one city over from me, is a living breathing Great White Shark on display for me to see (providing he stops eating the rest of the sharks in the tank-I think he's pissed...) The Monterey Bay Aquarium has managed to keep a Great White for I think like 6 months, which is remarkable for a Great White. I need to fix my van before I can go see it, but see it I shall...

As cinical as we can get about Speilberg, Jaws is a well filmed movie. I gain more and more respect for it the more I see it.

I ran across what I gather was part of the insperation for Benchley(sp) to write Jaws in the Jersey/Matawan Man Eater (http://www.njhm.com/matawanmaneater.htm). It's pretty cool (well, horrifying-but you get what I mean...)

I love the movie, although it made me even more afraid of the sea and open waters than I was before seeing it.
