What are your picks for the Mens Basketball championship? Personally, I think North Carolina and Connecticut are going to dominate the Syracuse bracket, and the Huskies are going to beat the Tarheels. UConn is going to beat Duke in the Austin bracket, and then win the title for the second year in a row against Wake Forest.

Final Four: UConn, Wake Forest, Illinois, and Duke
Championship Game: Wake Forest, UConn
Winner: UConn

I'm going for North Carolina.

UConn would have got 1st seed in my opinion if it wasn't for Syracuse winning the Big East. So I'm sticking with them.

BC is getting absolutly crushed by University of West Millwaukee.
I still can't believe TT beat Gonzaga though.
EDIT: Ok, so they're getting beat by five. Still shouldn't be losing.

UW- Milwaukee is not a bad team. They have had one of the best mid-major programs over the past few years. Plus they already stuck it to Alabama, who has been playing better than BC as of late.

Ahh, must be the bad memories coming back of a great BC team. I don't have ESPN anymore, so I everything I get is from the networks and the paper.

Wouldn't doubt Illinois winning that bracket. Chicago is seriously weak besides the Illini.

One of the best aspects of Soviet Russia was the lack of baseball.

What does that have to do with College basketball?

Hell yeah it is- Okie State is the 2 seed, but Louisville is the 4th seed in Albequerque? What the hell is this shit?

Syracuse is the toughest hands down. UNC, UConn, Florida, Wisconson. That bracket is stacked.

Well, Syracuse lost to Vermont, (which really screwed up my bracket since I had 'Cuse in the final 4).

OK, but still, Syracuse has no business losing to the Catamounts.

Of course not. My family and I used to make fun of different colleges and their atrocious teams. Vermont came up quite frequently.

MacNamara throws out stinkers like that all of the time. He shoots way to much, has too many turnovers, and against good defenses, can keep Syracuse from getting any sort of offensive rhythm. Just like what happened against Vermont.

But sports analysts will continue to love him because of Syracuse's run two years ago.

You got to give Vermont some credit though, they played with much more heart. :)

Vermont was 25-6 and lost at Kansas by seven this year. They are a capable team.

It was a couple of years ago, during the first UConn championship season.

I do like the Illini, but see if you can guess which NCAA school is located in Carbondale, IL.

Southern Illinois, of course. How'd they do this year?

27-7, 15-3 MVC, and of course they dispatched of Saint Mary's yesterday to advance to play Oklahoma St.

They have won 104(!) games since I first came to school here, including a 3-3 record in the NCAA tournament.

Of course, I live 20 minutes away from the reigning men and women champs, so I think I got one up on you there. ;)

Maybe, but I get in free to SIU games, and there is nothing like watching a high caliber college basketball team from courtside, especially for free. I have been a part of three court stormings.

My first year here, we somehow managed to get a home game against Indiana. Mid-major schools never get power programs to visit them, so this was a major deal. It was a packed house, filled up about 30-45 minutes before the game started. It was electric the whole way through, as the game was back and forth. With about 30 seconds to go, SIU hit a three to go up six. The crowd started chanting "overrated" at Indiana, and when the clock ran out the crowd stormed the court.

It remains the greatest event I have ever been to, sporting or otherwise.

Heh. Mine was a couple years back, when I lived in Columbus. My dad and his friend had season tickets to OSU hockey, and we went to all the home games, cause it was damn good fun. Anyways, they were playing Michigan (of course, big rivalry) and I took one of my best friends who was a Michigan fan. At the end of regulation it was tied 1-1 and went into OT, and Michigan scored the winning goal with 0.1 seconds left. The Schottenstein's Center went ape shit.
