What is the one thing (or things) that makes your day?

In response to the "What is the one thing (or things) that aggravates you to no end?" thread. What aggravates me is that most people can't seem to just appreciate what they're given. Let us not constantly think of all the bad things that happen to us and how terrible life is. obviously we all have internet access and enough time to waste most of it on ns. so stop complaining, and cheer up, dammit! ;)

The one thing that always makes my day?
Ice cream! :)

Hm, what makes my day? Waking up to the sun shining (not the alarm clock for once) and my boyfriend snoring peacefully beside me. You know life's good when you see him snoring and drooling, and you can smile because you still think he's the sexiest man alive.

So, what advice do you have on getting decent top spin with a laptop? I always end up slicing badly.

It used to be the daily piss-take of my [drunkard] boss. I don't think I ever once spoke to him while he was sober, and this was because he was porbably never sober. You could bottle his plasma and sell it.

I once strolled into work 3 hours late and he mumbled, blear-eyed, "where the fuck have you been, I should fuckin' fire ya!"

"Er...I've been here all morning, chief. You just came in..." I replied.

"Er...wh...oh, right. Sorry about that." Boss turns around and walks into his office, scratching his head.

Another time I'm still in bed when I should have been at work an hour ago and he calls:

"Oi! Get into work ya lazy bastard!"
"I am at work."
"Oh...um, keep it up..."

*I hang up*.

Eventually he got wise and turned up to work sober one day [okay, so I exaggerated earlier. He was sober exactly once.] and that was it for me.

My PC is conneced to my house. I walk over to the nearest tennis court and play. Or, I just go to competetive matches in my school. I don't like computer sports games.

Eating a fine meal, at a resturant of from my own kitchen,

Buying lovely new clothes

Driving in excess of 100 miles per hour

Running a red light

Wearing clothes of my choosing and looking fantastic

Reading from a good book

Listening to good music

Exchanging smiles with a pretty girl

Lots of things can make my day...

Coming home to a vase of flowers from my boyfriend (even just one stem in a bud vase will do it!)

Walking outside when it's sunny, mild/warm, and the beginning of spring

Getting a call from my closest friends

Actually *helping* someone out when he/she is struggling with a dilemma

Doing something special for my boyfriend and seeing his face light up

Playing around with my kid brother, realizing that he's growing up to be a really intelligent, socially sensitive person (he's almost 8... I'm 23)

Giving a well-received presentation

Going to the beach

Dancing to fun music

And so many others... (just thinking about these things has made my day!)

A hug.
Making someone smile when they're down.
The wind in my face, the sun in the sky, and a long run downhill. With a kite is optional.
A nice hot drink as I'm huddled up in my quilt with a glowing screen on a cold day after being outside.
A laugh.

Oh there are a myriad of things that can make my day... but one above all does the job more effectively than all the rest combined...

Nothing makes my day, like the love of a lady can... not sexually mind you, just the little moments...

that look in her eyes when she turns, looking slyly over her shoulder...

a sexy little wink...

the soft touch of her hand against my skin...

a small nibbling kiss... that contains all the ferocity of a panther in its thinly veiled visage...

two sets of eyes closed... laying motionless and lost together in the infinite charm of embrace...

and thats that.

As for biological clocks, I think men have them too. But the "alarm" is set so late, they tend not to pay attention (Tony Randall anyone?).

So kudos for you!

There are two things that made my day today.

1. Iowa State beat Minnesota. I am pretty sure I am the only person at my workplace who wasn't a gopher fan, considering all the glares I got when I wore my ISU basketball tshirt today. But we won. HA!

(Granted we face UNC on sunday and will die)

2. Its blizzarding. So work closed at 3:00, but we are getting paid as if we worked the whole day. Muahaha!

(Granted its blizzarding, and I am spending my friday night at home)

EDIT: I know you read my previous thread on fatherhood (concerning the Lesbians). We're going through with it in November, but I've excised all of my patriarchal rights in favor of the alternate caregiver.

Not the same. We've gotten (conversationally/legally) to the point of considering this transaction as just "good sperm", nothing more consderate of future obligation. :)
