Due to an unfortunate series of events which mainly revolved around me smacking a friend in the groin with a wooden sword, a minute of writhing on the ground, a chase and a very rough capture, I was thrown into a lake last night.

Let me tell you, Lakes in March with ice still dotting it's surface here and there is no place to be. It sucks every bit as much as you might imagine it does. I don't recommend it. :(

They should've taken your clothes beforehand so when you came out they could call you shrinkydink.

I was too busy shrieking like a woman, wading ashore and shivering like a battery-powered sex toy. :p

I know what it feels like, i was pushed into a river once in November, which is just as cold :(

Here, have a dry towel :)

Lucky bastard. Here there's still a thin layer of ice over the water, so you'd have broken through, gotten cut up, and died from hypothermia before you could reach the shore again because you wouldn't be able to get a grip.

We appear to be in summer here now - people swimming in the sea in the south of france. Dunno what happened to spring, winter was last week and now it's summer. Anyhow, the point of this post was to say that if you got thrown in a lake here and now it wouldn't be so bad. :)

Note to self: WHen striking friends in the groin during the month of march, do so in balmier climates.
