I must say that the quality of this rip is astounding. There's no hiss, and you can hear only very small crackling, usually just during silence periods. It's got a very warm, clear sound. Absolutely brilliant.

'The Majesty Of Rock' comes from the second mock Spinal Tap album - it's a really funny track, though quite rare. Worth getting hands on, if possible.
I'm listening to 'Town Called Malice' by The Jam, and the 'Lola Rennt' Soundtrack, which everyone should own a copy of.
So they actually made mock albums?

45's are cool. the sound is raw.
And Green Day have come a long way. American Idiot is the reason I now listen to their other stuff, but I always come back to this one.
It's odd how 45's and 33's have their own advantages/disadvantages. 33's seem to have better pitch and have somewhat more range, while 45's have deeper bass and a more head-on sound. 45's also have more static, which adds to the "raw" factor.

I think you're the first person to respond in a positive tone to someone listening to country on here. Thanks ... I was feeling lonely! ;)
Ahh, who cares if no one else has an appreciation for the music, I still like it! I have that album on vinyl too though, and have to agree with you cordially - it kicks some serious ass, but after my dancing escapade, Ill be stuck on country for a while. In fact, any nay-sayers come on over, I'll two step with you and be sure to change your mind. :p
Oh, and right now:
Tift Merritt, I Know Him Too.
You know, I actually like Country music. So long as it's real, though... Not that shit that Tobey Keith does. Willie Nelson sounds very good (though I really don't know the names of his songs). And that other guy... Clint Black, I think. His stuff's pretty good. Lyle Lovette (sp?) also sounds good (he actually eats at a local Mexican restaurant from time to time. Los Pinos.).
You've got NMTB on Vinyl? Nice. The first Pistols recording I heard was "God Save The Queen" on a sampler CD from a magazine that my sister had. That was waaay back in the early 90's. Then I found out about MP3 technology, so I downloaded their big four (Anarchy In The U.K., Pretty Vacant, God Save The Queen, and Holidays In The Sun), and I was hooked. A friend ripped me a copy of his original 11-track U.K. pressing, and it sounds incredible.
I know for sure that I shall never tire of this album as long as I live. There's never been anything like it.

Toby Keith strikes me as an arrogant, intolerant, sexist pig. I can't even beleive that there are girls out there listening to the sort of attitude that he not only condones, but emphasizes value in.
The sad thing is, a lot of people hear music like his and judge the rest by it. There really is a lot of very talented and lyrically accomplished country music out there. I couln't begin to list half of the artists I like... of those you listed, I have to agree with all of them with the exception of Lyle Lovett, I don't know why but I could never get into his music. What I like about country though, is the fact that for the most part it supports traditional songwriting and performances by many artists that have been pared down to the core essentials of what, in my opinion, music should be. There will always be the Garth Brooks' and the Brooks and Dunn's who are primarily entertainers as far as live performances - but there seems to be this true love for making music that I admire in country. Of course there are rock bands out there like still making music for the love of it, but there seems to be a lot more marketing and corruption in the pop/rock/rap genres.
Still, I love it all. :)

Well, at any time, if you want some good song advice - I'm more than happy to help pick out a few that might suit your taste in music. Country is such a broad spectrum of sounds - there are many more sub-styles than I think most people realize. :)
