Well of course it's a hoax. Reading that article just confirmed my thoughts.

Big Foot is neither real nor myth, it is a folk story, a legend.

I have no doubt that bigfoot probably never existed, but perhaps Wallace based it something else he saw?

As for legends, all (or at least most) legends are vaguely based on true stories.

Yeah, because nobody else has ever reported seeing large stinky hairy humanoids. I don't know if there's anything to it, but there are an awful lot of accounts. If bigfoot's real he probably lives underground or is trans-dimensional. As crazy as it sounds, I'm not embarrassed to say it because some quantum physicists are starting to speculate on the what sort of energy, matter, and even life may exist nearby in dimensions we cannot (yet?) traverse.

I know that Bigfoot is real. I saw it on ESPN2.

As for the other Bigfoot, it is possible. I'm no cryptozoologists but I do know that new species are still being discovered.

There have apparently been 5 sightings in my county :eek: . The site is actually very detailed and well done..However I don't personally believe in Bigfoot.

Washington state has the most sightings. Interesting enough it also has the most "ancient" sightings too. Part of the Native American culture of the area. Specifically narrowed down to the Mt. St. Helens area. The most sightings and by the most people.

Shows what you know. Bigfoot story is as old as time itself.

30 years ago, I'd have said real, or at least likely to be real. But given the hoaxes perpetuated, lack of solid evidence(i.e. a corspe, hide, bones) despite searches, I'm sadly inclined to think that Bigfoot is myth. This doesn't mean that witnesses are liars. It's just that there are other explanations other than a bipedal animal/sentient being that could explain the witnesses. A shame. I'd love to be wrong, and see what another bipedal species with hands evolved into.

I mean there is huge tracts of wilderness up there. As far as bones. Do you find "Bear" bones out in the woods. Being a hunter I know that it is nearly impossible to find them. They go and hide when they die normally. Another thing it is possible that the bones from such a mountain gorilla would be mistaken for some other animal. To many people don't know what they are looking at in the woods to figure things out. Although I do agree that some of this is hoaxes. People trying to get famous. Bigfoot's in North Ameirca not seen that much because not many yanks live in the forests!

Yeti's in Asia which are seen by locals on a regular basis because a large amount of people in places like burma still live in the jungle.
