Do you watch the series "LOST"?

I don't get to follow many series...but I make an exception for this one. I really want to know what the hell is happening on that weird island...any other fans out there?

A friend got me hooked on it. Interesting show, but I have my doubts about it. I have a bad feeling that the "story" is going to fall apart much like "X-Files".

Occaisonally, but I've never been able to make sense of the storyline.

Well so far it seems to hang on exploring the strange pasts of the various people stranded on the island. Until the latest one, where they went into the hefty guy's past. He won the lottery using some cursed numbers, and had all this bad luck, and he thinks that's why the plane crashed. Turns out those numbers were being transmitted by persons unknown from the island they crashed on AND part of their plane had those numbers as serial numbers. The plot thickens...

And yeah, I hope it doesn't dive like X Files.

Definitely, X-Files sucked the last few seasons. What was with that "Super Soldier" crap?

Oh, and don't forget the kid who's psychic and can bring drawings to life and stuff! :D

I want to know the significance of the numbers.

Also, I hope this series doesn't try to run for more than one season. I like a lot of Latin American shows that have a plot and play the series out to the end, then die. No point in keeping it going just for the sake of keeping it going. That way you get some closure too:)

Actually, those numbers weren't on their plane. They were on that metal "fusilage" that Locke and the young rich kid uncovered. At least that's what I got out of it.

Bah, I stopped watching it after the first two seasons. It was already running out of material then, though it started off so good...

I wasn't sure...I missed that episode, so I thought it was either already there, or part of their plane.

Speaking of Locke...did they do his background yet? I think he is by far the most interesting character.

Yes they did. He was paralyzed(in a wheelchair at least) before the crash. He woke up on the beach, stood up and started walking!

Yeah, he was a geek who studied up on living the "wild" life. Now he's a weird mysterious dude who's totally awesome! How can we NOT like this show? :D

Okay wait, I'm terrible with names...Locke is the old guy who is like uber-man...hunter, builder and all around amazing dude right? He was PARALYSED? How? Did the background episode really tell us much about him? Why does he seem to know so much more than he lets on...

Yes, Locke is the older "hunter" guy with the knives. He went to Australia to go on a "Walkabout". It's where you wander around the Australian desert trying to "find yourself". The people leading the group said he couldn't participate because of his condition (wheelchair). He was flying back home when the plane crashed, woke up on the beach, and started walking. I don't think they went into much more on that. Sort of lends credence to the theory that they're in some sort of purgatory.

ooooooh...I didn't think of that....are they really all dead? Hmmmm...hey, does anyone know where I can find some summaries of all the episodes? I've done some searching, but I just get an outline, no real details. I want the whole story...

The whole "Don't let the numbers out" thing had me thinking of Pandora's box...all these people seem to have done bad things, or had bad things happen to them before they crashed...

I thought Claire's story was by far the most interesting, so far. The psychic who tricked her into getting on that plane did so because he knew it would crash and that she would have to be the one to raise her child.

So, here's some major questions from the series:

What the hell is going on with the psychic boy, and will he be able to control his powers someday?

What the hell is going on with Locke, why can he now walk, does he know why he can walk, does he know how to teach the psychic boy how to control his powers (he seems to), is he psychic or does he know someone else who is? Oh, and does he know about the numbers? What else does this dude know?

Is the Australian chick gonna give birth to Satan or something?

What do the numbers mean? Are they truly cursed, or are they really lucky?

What's the invisible thing that attacks people?

Are they at purgatory?

If they finish the raft, will they be able to row to saftey?

What is that disease the French chick mentioned?

Are there any homosexuals on the island?

How come mostly good looking people survived?

Did I miss any?

Is this one really relevant?

Who of the main characters do we not know about yet? Do we know about the model brother and sister yet? They seem to have a pretty screwed up, semi incestuous relationship...and Saed (sp?)...do we know about him yet?

Yes, he was in the Iraqi Republican Guard ( did I get that right?). His specialty was "interrogation", wink-wink.

I'm thinking he's gotta. Or else everyone will die and polar bears will take over the island.

What the hell is going on with Locke, why can he now walk, does he know why he can walk, does he know how to teach the psychic boy how to control his powers (he seems to), is he psychic or does he know someone else who is? Oh, and does he know about the numbers? What else does this dude know?
I DON'T KNOW! I think he will teach the psychic boy to control his powers. I think he read a book about ESP or something.

Is the Australian chick gonna give birth to Satan or something?
It's gonna be SOMETHING evil. OR... maybe she's not gonna give birth at all!

What do the numbers mean? Are they truly cursed, or are they really lucky?
EDIT: Forgot to answer this one. The numbers are obviously coordinates. Possibly of the island/ other islands like it?

What's the invisible thing that attacks people?
I think it's a genetically engineered stealth weapon dinosaur type thing.

Are they at purgatory?
No way!

If they finish the raft, will they be able to row to saftey?
No, a genetically engineered stealth weapon dinosaur type thing will attack the raft. Or the Loch Ness monster. Or its cousin.

What is that disease the French chick mentioned?
Insanity.

Are there any homosexuals on the island?
Yes, but they aren't "coming out" anytime soon.

How come mostly good looking people survived?
Because it's nessecary for the show.

Dispite the earlier questions, the only real mystery so far is how they survived the crash. It would seem the plane broke apart in mid-air, yet they woke up on the beach in remarkably good condition.
