How many of you out there understand that there is a media conspiracy going on in the world. They publish strories to get the public of any nation to think a certain way. They play us off on each other for there political and economic goals. One very obvious one is the price of oil. Why is it going up so much. Its supposed demand from China the Iraq war whatever. Its all from the media. They are one of the most evil things on this planet. There are so many links I could post about this. I couldnt decide which one to post. So what do we do about this? Are we going to remain suckers to this global evil?

Never seen someone do a triple post before. Congrats! Anyway this has been going on since the begining of time. I dont see how we can stop it. All sorts of publications have been skewed toward a certain bias. Even the King James version of the Bible was skewed.

I've seen that ahppen plenty of times, but not on Jolt...I've seen 8 once.
Anyway, the Price of Oil is going up because of huge consumption of the USA and of China, as well as the fact it's RUNNING OUT and the Middle East holds a monopoly on oil so there going to charge as much as they can get, arn't they? Not the medias fault at all.

(by the way, that would mean ALL methods of communicating ideas, including the internet, books, newspapers, billboards and so on)

I saw a quintuple a few days ago.
Anyway, back on topic, I really don't know of a way to diffuse bias in media, but I somehow doubt that this massive conspiracy is really what is happening behind-the-scenes. It just doesn't seem as likely as the many other possibilities, to me. So the bias really doesn't seem like it's such a problem as the conspiracy theoists are making it out to be.
Oh and, I call troll by the way. Tinfoilhat is too much of a troll name to be serious about such conspiracy theories.

The name is fairly obvious. But I think many can be called trolls at some point in time dont you think? I would have to agree somewhat with Tinfoilhat. They do have some what of a point. Don't think an answer would be found but isnt this board about discussion.

And all the people on TV are actually alien replacements of themselves. :eek:

I agree there is a bias, and some media outlets owned by the same people definately have a mandate to slant things a certain way. But there are also other outlets out there who slant it in different ways. Objective reporting does not exist. I do wish we had more choice in the mainstream media though. I think that the homogenisation of viewpoints in the mainstream is a bad thing.

Simple solution: Dont watch TV, dont read newspapers, dont read magazines. In fact buy a plot out of town, grow your own vegetables and have no human contact whatsoever for the rest of your natural life :p

You need to understand that while it is the media's job to bring news, information, and entertainment to us, they will bend it in some way depending on who they are addressing or who is addressing it.
This is normal...relax...they aren't going to come and kill you in your sleep.
