Well, right now I'm listening to "The Circle of Life" from the Lion King, the film version not the Elton one, well so I decided to throw up a thread on what is the best Disney film, for me it's the Lion King, mainly because it was the first film I ever saw at the cinema, and oh yeah SACR ROCKS!

Robin Hood. Sod the historical inaccuracies, I love the film. A fat chicken barging hippos out the way? Could you want anything else from a film?

I can't believe that the second post said Robin Hood. It is my favorite as well, but I thought it was a sleeper pick.

Oh well, excellent choice IV.

Dumbo is a close second.

The Best Disney Cartoon movies is Robin Hood. All the weird characters playing everyone that were pulled from other Disney movies and all the funny songs sung by that weird ass rooster. That movie just kicked ass

Alice in Wonderland. Alice was soo sarcastic and cheeky, and all the colourful colours.............Hmmmm
El Porro
17-03-2005, 16:11
Winnie the Pooh, man. That guy is a perma-stoned zen master, blatantly! And Tigger is a bit of a speed-freak..

Other than that, I have fond memories of Aladdin. Robin Williams was a perfect choice for the voice of Genie. Shame his film career flopped into smaltz during the 90's, in his heyday he was a seriously funny guy!

Sword in the Stone still stands as my favourite, because Merlin kicks ass.

Spirited Away!
Sure it wasn't in many theatres and it was made in cooperation with disney but it's the only one I would acctualy want to watch more than once.

Robin Hood is one of my favorites, but being a musician, I'd have to pick The Aristocats. Some great tunes in that one. Oh, and by the way, Disney is evil personified.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Disney is bland, boring, and simplistic crap. Lowest common denominator is too generous a term for disney's pablum.

I must say I'm fond of most of the Disney-Pixar films... The Lion King has to be my favorite classic. But then again, I love Robin Hood and Aladdin, too. Then the Emperor's New Groove was hilarious, and Mulan is great.

Bah. I like too many movies, and I always get reminded of one more that I really liked. Then again, I have absolutely no taste in movies. I like everything and its monkey. Why am I babbling about me? I'll shutup now.

Too bad nearly everyone here seems to disagree! However, keep up the "starving, aloof artist" style - you might actually draw attention from the world, some day. ;)

I'm going to have to vote for Robin Hood, as well - good stuff, there.

Well, while a lot were good, nothing comes even close to "The Incredibles" IMO, and although it was done by Pixar, they are still contracted under Disney, so I guess it counts? ;)

The best Disney movie is Aladdin, I could watch it all day. The next best movie though, is The Little Mermaid. Ursula is creepy as hell, and though he is a cartoon, I would marry Eric the Prince anytime. :fluffle:

Agreed, though I think it's pretty appreciated.

I also enjoyed the Fantasia they put out in 2000, particularly the segments animated to "Firebird Suite" "Pines of Rome" and "Rhapsody in Blue"

I have to say, I'm partial to Lion King and Tarzan.

Is Finding Nemo a Disney movie? It's one of the best CGI movies EVER. Also, let's not forget Toy Story! Buzz Lightyear to the rescue! To infinity and beyond!

The Lion King is probably my favorite, followed by Fantasia. Pixar's movies are pretty good, though I don't want to call them pure Disney.

Oh, and I almost forgot the mightiness that is TRON.
